@Acadia_Kine KINE 185c got out for some snowshoeing on this beautiful day. Feb is the most sedentary month of the year. We are reversing that trend! @taphens @AcadiaU

In 2021, Tanja's routine mammogram was clear. Learning she had dense breasts, she requested supplemental screening. That request was tragically denied -no one can access supplemental screening in Nova Scotia. She fractured her hip in early 2023, around the same time she felt the tumour on her own. She was diagnosed at Stage 4, with extensive bone metastases.
We had the privilege of advocating with this kind, generous woman who wanted better for others. We will honour Tanja’s memory by continuing her advocacy—pressing for change for those underserved by mammography and current inequitable policies. We will work for a future where no woman’s life is cut short due to lack of access to essential screening.

This stat popped out at me. "A survey of 30 000 teachers found that while 89% were excited about teaching when they began their careers, only 15% expressed the same enthusiasm by the time the survey was conducted" Thoughts? @PHECanada @NSTeachersUnion

🎄Tonight, the Christmas tree from Nova Scotia lights up Boston Common, carrying on a timeless tradition that means so much to us in Nova Scotia.
Back in 1917, after the Halifax Explosion, the people of Boston stepped up to help Nova Scotia when we needed it most. Every year since 1971, we've sent a tree as a way to say thank you and keep that bond alive.
This tree stands as a symbol of friendship, gratitude, and the spirit of the season. If you're in Boston, check it out-it's a reminder of the good we can do for each other.

@PierreVLeBrun 3 of the first 6 players named are from Nova Scotia! Pretty impressive for such a small province. @HockeyNS
