The grandpa you laughed at behind his back for letting you watch violent war movies as a kid, but who freaked out about the Disney show where the kid had 2 Dads... that guy was right. There was evil in the war movie, but it was generally evil depicted AS EVIL in a great struggle between good and evil, and it trained the consciences of a generation to value things like... - Valor - Self-sacrifice - Courage - Integrity - Honor - Patriotism (yes, patriotism IS a good thing) My Dad used to say, "The worst kind person is the guy who was born on third and acts like he hit a triple." Be wise, but watch a war movie with your kids today and help your American kid understand they were born on third base because a bunch of people died to get them three bases ahead.

@geekyguyjay It's not a game. 2:11-15 has nothing to do with a local Ephesian issue. Paul grounds his instruction in creation BEFORE the fall. Paul says his letter is to instruct for behavior in THE church not a local body (chapter 3).

"In reality, the Mohler Amendment contradicts the Bible. It also diminishes the very principles that gave birth to Southern Baptist life: Soul competency, Local church autonomy, Liberty of conscience, and the Priesthood of every believer." Exactly. Wade nails this. ! #SBC26

@gretchenwhitmer Don't fight against God. He always fights for the helpless, and He has authority to cast us into hell. He's patient, giving us time to repent, but He will not forget how many thousands of little ones died because of your "fight."

I'd really like to hear the arguments for both. Your hypothetical: A married father is in a position to save EITHER the wife and mother OR the child/children. Which should it be, and why?

Nice hit piece on me for Mother's Day! Note that your reporter didn't have the balls to link to my actual speech on the connection between Obergefell and child commodification. Here it is. Also delightful that he publicly dropped my location this week. No big deal, it's not like progressives are targeting conservatives for violence these days. Seattle Times used to involve confronting arguments. Now it mostly involves hiding them from readers. $300,000 from the Servant Foundation. That's like a bank or a donor advised fund. Scary! Nothing terrifies activists disguised as reporters more than people voluntarily funding ideas they can’t silence. I see you linked to the Gallup poll up top that (had people clicked) showed support for same-sex marriage among Republicans has fallen to 41% but later when you needed a better-looking number, linked a less-known poll that said it was still at 56%. Scared much? You shared my salary of $135k and that we raised an alarming $1M last year. Yet refused to include the same info for Karen Loewy at Lambda Legal - $240k/$58M who you cited. Seems transparency only applies to people you’re trying to smear. And Greater Than @MakeKidsGreater isn't endorsed by 47 organizations, it's now 62. Had you the spine to link our actual website, readers would instantly recognize that you're not engaged in journalism but narrative management. Funny how often “fact checks” depend on making sure readers never see... the actual facts. And yes. I am plotting a "global takeover" so that every conversation about marriage and family is "child centric." Elevating justice for the weak. You should try it sometime. youtube.com/watch?v=HBlIrv…

@DanBurmawy In Institutes, Calvin recognized many who were loyal to Rome were genuine Christians. That common protestant view is why CS Lewis' Mere Christianity is popular. See also Gavin Ortlund on why Protestants are the best catholics (because they accept the faith of other Christians).

When I converted to Christianity I first joined the Catholic Church. I ended up living for a few months at a monastery with priests, talking to them and learning from them on a daily basis. I noticed that they consider Protestants lost without Mary and the saints, and every now and then they would crack a laugh mocking their faith. Then I joined the Protestant church, and there I got to witness how Protestants consider Catholics infidels and pagans going to hell. I am not talking here about personal opinions of Catholics or Protestants, I am talking about the theology of both traditions. Even though the Catholic Church included Protestants in Vatican II, the sentiment didn't really change. I know for a fact that people who take the Protestant faith seriously would never step into a Catholic church, nor would they have spiritual fellowship with Catholics. When Catholics and Protestants do organize ecumenical events, they agree on certain conditions, on what can be said and what can't. Catholics won't invoke Mary; Protestants won't invoke justification by faith alone; and so on. Even within Protestantism, Baptists mock Pentecostals and Pentecostals mock Baptists. There is a silent agreement among followers of all religions that they don't accept each other's faith, and all of them know they mock each other behind closed doors. Why is it that only Jews are required to praise the name of Jesus, a figure they don't recognize as divine, and a figure on whose account they have suffered for centuries? Why do Tucker and the woke Reich go crazy every time Jews express their rejection of Jesus? Jews, as someone once said, are the only group of people demanded to be Christians. This is not fair. Muslims burn churches around the world every day and no one gets punished. But when a Jew does something and gets punished by the Israeli government, the world goes crazy. I am a Christian, and because I am a Christian I reject this double-standard BS.

@shadmbrooks Are you confusing actual religious belief systems with the fantasy you're obsessed with? Actual history matters. Unlike fantasy, Christianity isn't a clever made up story. Pay more attention to the sword of the spirit, and put away childish things.

@BarackObama With respect, Mr. Obama, the Supreme Court has the vital role of interpreting the law. They must not rewrite the law in the name of any cause, no matter how noble, or they become an unaccountable legislature.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

"So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, 'Lord, save me.' But Jesus said, 'I really wish I could Peter, but you're going to have to meet me half way. I've called you to come. I'm holding out my hand. I'm waiting. If you just try to believe a little harder maybe you can...oh, dear. You're sinking like a rock. Sorry for the pun'..." (Matthew 14:29-31, The New Word of Faith Version)

The face that broke the silence on surrogacy. Not papers and studies. Not a decade of advocates warning where this was headed. Just one victim: a motherless baby crying while two men laughed. They spent a decade hiding him. He cried for 30 seconds and cost them everything.
