@InvertTheWing But this is probably what will happen. Not against it, just think the other XI would be more refreshing and more deserved.

@InvertTheWing Didn’t go very diff from you, but I genuinely would love to see Archie Gray start at RB. Love Porro, but just think Ange’s style is too risky and Gray has more defensive awareness, which would enable Kulusevski instead of Sarr. It’s all about balance.

vs. Leicester, based on preseason form/balance. Let's end the myth that this midfield is too attacking, Kulusevski's work rate and physicality is not too different to Sarr's. Just needs to calm the amount of free kicks he gives down. Bentancur the best 6 Tottenham have in defending transitions/defensive ability. Starts purely on that. Wouldn't mind seeing Solanke come off the bench as he just signed and has to integrate a bit, Kulusevski 9, Sarr into midfield.

@InvertTheWing Didn’t have neither Bissouma nor Bentancur as greens because I think they aren’t the ideal lone 6 that Postecoglou needs. But both very good players. Also think that, as of now, Bentancur should start the season ahead of Biss.

@InvertTheWing Here is my assessment of this Tottenham team. A lot has to improve. Give it one more season to decide what to do in relation to the 6 position. For sure a LCB/LB and a winger HAS to come in next… 🟢 - Starting XI calibre 🟡 - Can cover in that position 🔵 - Youngsters ⚪️ - OK

@InvertTheWing About Mudryk, your reasoning isn’t bad. The problem is, Spurs need a 1v1 specialist on the wing, NOW. They can’t afford to buy another B. Johnson… they have to get it right, otherwise their season could be very mid once again.

Tottenham should test the waters. That Front 5 is devastating. Overload with transitional threat, then utilise creativity, progression/retention, and dynamism. Very, very well balanced. No zone congestion. Fluid.

@InvertTheWing Gray is not ready to start as a lone 6. Maybe in the future, but not now. Bentancur has to be there in the 1st game of the season. Unfortunately, Bissouma is too inconsistent and lacks concentration to be trusted…

@InvertTheWing Romero is stronger defensively, aerially and on the ball. What more does a CB need to be better than his partner?

@InvertTheWing Romero is both statistically and on-the-eye superior to VDV. Teams are willing to let Micky have all the time and space on the ball that he wants bc they know that he can’t (yet) unlock a game with his passing. Whereas with Romero it’s different. Teams close him down asap.

And that is my last tweet on Cristian Romero. I will not mention him on this account rare again, seeing as his fanbase cannot handle any sort of small criticism regarding him (that “criticism” is saying his partner is better). I have been hurled abuse, including telling me to go “fuck your grandmother”. Yet I am the one “engagement baiting”. Because I willingly love to sit here and receive abuse including towards my family members. It is rather unfortunate no one wants to have a genuine debate anymore, just “you don’t understand football, “have you watched them?”, (insults). Anyways, I hope you are happy Tottenham fans, thank you for the abuse you have sent.

@InvertTheWing Just look at the difference between passes completed and progressive passes… it should tell you all you need to know. Micky is given more space by his opponents to pass the ball than Romero, but still, Romero has MORE THAN DOUBLE progressive passes.

@EBL2017 You shouldn’t underestimate Porto like that… look what happened with a weaker team from Portugal last year. Porto are a really tuff team to beat, however, I do think Arsenal is going through the quarter-finals.

@InvertTheWing @PremLeaguePanel And the real problem, as of today, for Ange is how he will transform Spurs in a team that is good in all phases of the game (they are too transitional atm). Enzo would be a superb addition to help control games and unlock deep defensive lines.

@InvertTheWing I think this was your worst take I’ve seen. I usually respect your opinion, but in this case, I will just assume you haven’t watched Enzo at Benfica or WC. Enzo is one of the best midfielders itw in a possession based team. You should read what @PremLeaguePanel has said about him

@InvertTheWing Ange is proving time and time again that he is a top top manager. Spurs keep their style and leave Old Trafford disappointed with a draw, even with 11 players out… that’s just outstanding from the manager.

A Manchester United legend will give credit to Tottenham outplaying and acknowledge that they were without half of their team. But NunezFan342 or AuraArteta on Twitter will tell you "Ange Postecoglou is an overrated fraud".

Really excited for the FA Cup clash between Spurs & Man City. Spurs will have Madders and Kulu back. Man City will probably have KDB starting but they’ll have Ortega in goal (not that bad, but it’s a downgrade). City yet to score on the Tottenham stadium. It’ll be interesting 👀

@thfcsmiso Shouting Bentancur as a “bad” player is an horrendous take. Such a good player and difference maker. He starts in any top team.

You are contradicting yourself here. As you said, Spurs had a depleted midfield and attack (they had 11 players missing out today) and they still dominated you away at Old Trafford. The main problem for UTD is the manager. Simple as that.
Mark Goldbridge@markgoldbridge

Spurs without their best midfield and attack had 64% possession, more corners, more shots on target, over 220 more passes with an 89% pass accuracy to our 76%. If that's not an advert for a player clearout to INEOS I don't know what is. Technically our players don't have it
