He was the ideal leader when the country was in a tail spin. He was honest with the public, even if it meant telling them things they didn't want to hear. He was straightforward, direct and turned the country around. Not flash, all steak and no sizzle, Ireland owes him a debt.

Today is the 75th birthday of Enda Kenny. At a time when Ireland was at its lowest ebb, Enda brought renewal, hope & energy to build a better Ireland. He brought Fine Gael back to the heart of the EU, knowing its importance for Ireland. Happy Birthday @EndaKennyTD 🇮🇪🇪🇺

You can't tell me Graham Burke doesn't offer something we don't have in the national team. I don't care what level the League of Ireland is seen as. We have nobody doing what he does at any level, with the consistency in that pocket. We need as many different options as possible.

John Stones on his role vs Inter: “I played No.8, I’d not played it before. Don't think I'll ever get over this.

Haven’t seen a lot of people talk about Dara O’Shea. Great performance from him last night and one of our only players who can hold their head up high

Great news for Irish football! 🇮🇪 We are delighted to announce that Republic of Ireland Head Coach Heimir Hallgrímsson has committed his future to the FAI by signing a new contract. Speaking at today's press conference, Heimir confirmed he has signed a new contract until the end of the UEFA EURO 2028 campaign 🤝

Reality is that stupid schedule from the English FA and PL has destroyed the PL teams this season, the games are just too many. Teams in Europe shouldn't play in the league cup, but nope, it's traditional so it's sacrosanct, no matter how stupid the traditional is, they still play two legged ties in league cup semis for no reason ffs. PL teams get no winter break and no time to rest. PL teams worked themselves in the first half of the season and have nothing left now

Last year, we promised an update on the Culture Card for young people, and here it is! The plan is simple: every 18-year-old in Ireland will receive a card preloaded with €100 to spend on live sporting or cultural events. We’re opening the doors for a new generation.
