But leaving out what happened next changes the entire meaning.
In the 1960s, after Lyndon B. Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the racists who supported segregation did not just disappear…
They left the Democratic Party and shifted politically. That is a huge part of the story that keeps getting left out.
AND THAT MATTERS.
Because when we, especially Black voices with big platforms, repeat half stories, it does not just stay a conversation. It spreads and it can be used against us.
We cannot afford to be loud and wrong at the same time, especially right now.

This 'we all struggled' line is too real but Gen Z is actually drowning. I am pursuing degree in my final semester currently . Internship start next month and graduation in July/August. I have to make a decision whether to dropout or not this month and get a job instead to help to pay for some of the living expenses because my parents have separated and my dad didn't support the family anymore. If I give up my degree this month, I have to pay back the loan & scholarships 😔

On top of that, the state crime lab will need to confirm in court the bullet that killed Charlie has the exact same rifling marks as test rounds fired through that specific Mauser. So unless someone wants to claim the Utah prosecutors are dumb enough to fake world-class DNA and ballistics evidence in the most watched case of the decade (knowing any decent defense team can send it all to an independent lab and blow the whole thing up in five minutes flat, getting them disbarred and the case tossed), yeah, Tyler Robinson is the guy who climbed on that roof and shot Charlie Kirk
