PM CALLS FOR INCLUSIVE, COLLABORATIVE INNOVATION: “Innovation is at its most powerful when it is inclusive,” said PM Dr. Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare at the first Public Sector Innovation Conference 2026, calling for the Public Service to deepen partnerships with key stakeholders.

A key takeaway from the day was the adoption of design thinking a human-centred, experimental approach to problem-solving that fosters continuous learning, adaptability and innovation in addressing complex challenges.

CALL FOR INNOVATION SYNERGY: Gladice Pickering, Executive Director: OPM has called for the dismantling of silo-based operations in the Public Service, urging institutions to synergise their innovation efforts and strengthen collaboration.

The conference organised by the OPM brought together senior government officials, innovation champions, policy makers, public service executives, researchers, practitioners, content creators, development partners, private sector leaders, and civil society organisations.
