Saw this and asked myself if its normal that negative things feel way worse than what positive things can make up for it? Is it a mindset thing that can change or is that just the very nature of human feelings?

The new d2 patch is amazing! Even if you don't want to play Warlock, the QOL for everyone else is already worth getting the patch for (plus all the new items and endgame content ofc)

@Smdster @lunaloveee8 @caro_irl So I think even if the gap in "pure skill" (however you want to measure it) of "best players in the game vs consistent PT competitor" is bigger, I think pure skill maybe plays a smaller role at this level of competition than it would at the RC level. But also just vibes 😅

@Smdster @lunaloveee8 @caro_irl I think once the players are both great, you can make up for the "skill gap" more easily due to other factors. There are many players who are (much) worse than me that I'd expect to be +50% vs me in a 50/50 matchup because they are more experienced with the matchup/decks/format.

how big do you think the chasm between magic pros and "average" players is?
in chess, the worst IM would have to have a mid-game stroke for me to win. obviously RNG and decks are a factor, but would a pro have a ~100% chance of beating "FNM 2-1 Andy" in a bo5? bo11? bo21?

@MTGO_Economics @Ajelenbogen I can't speak for all teams, but we never had that. If someone did very well they sometimes paid for dinner and that was about it

@Ajelenbogen @PVDDR I’ve often wondered this about pro teams. Do you have agreements with regard to winners contributing funding back to help cover expenses for the team’s next event or something similar?

@MylesorKazi I play a mix, but my favorite is probably Vex. She's not the easiest to play though and benefits from some constellation investment (her Star of Discovery is very good).

Some clarification: He will get one strong item upgrade on each card in the Emperor's deck. This will also apply to any Emperor card you find during the adventure.
His 6* gives all items and relics to all champs, including support champ.
