@Rep_Magaziner @RepMaxineWaters We should be focusing on reducing the cost of tuition, not increasing the demand for tuition. I would even be in favor of price controls over university tuition rather than on stoking demand on college tuition (which would only increase the cost of tuition)

@haugejostein Nothing you just described is "socialism." Socialism is simply the worker control of the means of production. By that standard every country you mentioned is heavily capitalist with some state intervention (which is not socialist)

In Luxembourg, social spending as a share of GDP is among the highest in the EU. Most countries that score well on this chart do so because they have socialist policies in place that increase social mobility and reduce economic precariousness.
