@KodiakNRoute @bee_fumo Not all OLED monitors have flickering and it depends on the frame rate and more importantly frame rate stability. Stability is often high when you're using an FPS cap anyway.

@bee_fumo @PacketAuditor The LCD deck has it, but the OLED deck has VRR disabled as VRR cases OLED monitors to flicker. Any future Switch 2 revisions will have to settle for mini LED or Quantum Dot LED (QLED) for 120Hz VRR

@cityandoasis @bee_fumo VRR is a vertical syncing technology and yes it does solve this problem. And yes, in order to actually use VRR, you need to be within the VRR range, which involves a FPS cap.

@PacketAuditor @bee_fumo even vrr doesn't solve the frame pacing issue tho or does it. I feel like vsync + locked fps is the most smoothest experience in any game

@PacketAuditor @bee_fumo I believe that oled screens with vrr are pretty expensive compared to regular oled.

We're showing what we're about in this update. AI thumbnails don't mean the game is dog shit, but more than half the time it's misleading, which makes it hard for players to determine anything about a game from its thumbnail.
s&box@s8box

We're punishing AI thumbnails - if your game looks like generic slop, it'll rank lower 📉 We also talk about our Steam reviews 🫠 Plus FSR3 upscaling, a big physics update, review tag filtering and way more. sbox.game/news/update-26…

Gasoline is not expensive ENOUGH, based on the number of cars idling in the Walmart parking lot! Or are people so stupid they don't know idling burns gas and costs money? ⛽🚫

Amazon is using large Sunbelt Rentals Generators to charge their electric delivery vehicles. These generators are powered by diesel fuel. So they’re using diesel fuel, to charge their electric vehicles “to Go Green”...

@Nascarmedes @Brand0n @NostalgiaFolder Then your issue is bad HVAC tuning, not screens. Modern climate systems already monitor cabin temp, humidity, sunlight load, and windshield fogging risk. A good system will ramp defrost automatically.

@PacketAuditor @Brand0n @NostalgiaFolder Clearly you lack understanding. Auto won't react fast enough when for example you are driving in the panhandle of Texas on I40 at 90 mph in the predawn and drive through a low spot where the temperature is much cooler than where you were just driving. This causes instant fogging

@PacketAuditor @Brand0n @NostalgiaFolder That works well until you drive up a canyon or through a low spot with a temperature change. Sometimes you need full defrost right now. Auto climate may not react fast enough.

@Brand0n @NostalgiaFolder Not even close. Hunting in a touch screen interface when you hit a pocket of colder air and your windows start to fog up on an early morning drive would be no fun.

@doomspoons it just launched. you must be too young to remember gmod at launch. It was pretty much this except a lot less content. This ones gonna require something the VGC doesnt have, patience.

The s&box situation is horribly depressing, I had early access and yeah. Not good. Writing was on the wall years ago. I don’t get why all this dev time went to making new assets when you had the entire asset repository of RUST to make shit from that carries the similar grungy…

You can get close to Windows Input Latency in @CounterStrike by forcing WayLand Display Protocol for CachyOS. This is good news for Linux users as on default settings you are screwed with way extra latency. Shoutout to @girlglock_ for pointing this out.

If you are playing CS2 on Linux, you are playing with extra input lag. Using Vulkan on Windows is more viable than just using Linux(CachyOS) for input latency in CS2.

@iamcs2kitchen I mean is CS running in Wayland or XWayland mode? On KDE CachyOS Wayland, it will default to XWayland mode unless you use the launch option. This will undoubtedly affect results. They're changing the default to Wayland mode soon, so it's worth testing it. It's probably better.
