@PadaveShubham @Sporty_Baba @rajtoday Mahim had a branch railway line of the Great Indian Peninsula Railway (GIPR). The Mahim station was located roughly where today’s Mahim bus depot stands. This branch line split off near present-day Matunga on the Central Railway. The Mahim branch was closed on 1 June 1869.

@welloffcourse @mumbaiheritage Have heard that they use to do water replenishment at Bhandup. Also the small stones on tracks were processed at Khadi Machine, Bhandup West which use to be pulled by Donkeys "Gahdav" thus Bhandup W has Gahdav Naka. Note: Detials are not verified.

@RajeshShares @myBESTBus Yes, thus I am concluding that if buses are given lanes to operate alteast on main roads / highways they can give us a lot benefits. Coz every evening on WEH I am observing buses running empty towards Borivali while passengers are loosing crowds in trains.
