@PamRath @PeterGuthrie99 I watched the entire exchange wire to wire, and Guthrie’s questions are absolutely bang on. This was a closed door meeting, the details of which have been kept secret. Guthrie, then Minister of Infrastructure and still in UCP caucus DECLINED that meeting for ethics concerns!

The Trudeau Liberals were accused of corruption, ethics breaches, conflicts of interest violations, and secrecy related to access to information. @PamRath @PeterGuthrie99 The way the party ousted him for not toeing the line and for daring to challenge their direction is not the behaviour of a political party deserving respect. You cannot do better if you are unwilling to hear criticism.

@fette_a @PeterGuthrie99 I believe MLA Guthrie is a good person & his service to our province admirable. But yesterday was not his finest. Posting a flattering clip to social media doesn’t negate the behaviour that ensued after that moment. It’s become so personal that it’s a distraction to the real work

@PamRath @PeterGuthrie99 It’s not slander if it’s true. She did bring her husband in on a meeting regarding this already which he should not have been attending. Silencing Guthrie isn’t a good look on the party.

@fette_a @PeterGuthrie99 I find it interesting that the clip posted was not the whole story of what happened today. I’m not denying the necessity of debate & holding the government to account, but at what cost? Slander? Not worth it. It wasn’t the maturity that many expect from MLA Guthrie.

@PamRath @PeterGuthrie99 Whatever his reasons are, he’s bringing to light how much corruption there is within that party and it’s a damn shame none of the rest are calling it out. You should be able to hold your teammates accountable. You don’t give blind faith, that’s not politics it’s a cult.

Premier Danielle Smith on comments made by Mark Carney about her. Says progressive men talk about supporting women until they meet a strong conservative woman- saying their attitude is for her to sit down and shut up and she won't do that.

Smith goes to a bunch of extremist parties and fundraisers on the tax payer dime, the rest of Canadian leaders do actual advocacy, but when the bully does something slightly less awful the whole country, it must be her cozying up to the bullies. Sure. 🙄 #AbLeg

@cherylanne It’s not about a victim card. Tough job, going full out. No breaks. Not sure anyone could handle it any better. We forget politicians are human.

@PamRath Sorry, but I think it’s hard for Danielle Smith to play the victim card in the current context.
