@JayG00nie @nonewthing He should be given time off to rest for the first few months of next season honestly.

@nonewthing Saka has every chance to regain his strength and physicality. Probably won’t be able to do it fully until summer 2027 because of the World Cup, but he’s just playing at a lighter weight since he’s fresh off a major hamstring injury. He will be back at some point.

Saka turning into Florian Wirtz was not something that was in my agenda but is certainly something that is very interesting. Eze/Saka for that #10 spot. Dowman to inherit his RW spot. That is definitely interesting.

@SLCSpesh @Nb_srgn @DikeOdumegwu @tebzafc Yes, this applies for a lot of the squad btw. For some its been burnout over multiple seasons, Saka(7), Ode and White(about 4 each)... they all ran ridiculous amounts and rarely got to rest. Its the price we paid for chasing titles with a thin squad.

@Nb_srgn @DikeOdumegwu @tebzafc You have to consider how fatigued he is(mentally as well as physically)atm. Hes never played this many games in a season before, especially not at this level of intensity.

@CTID_47 @04gully The clubs struggling have spent big. United and Chelsea especially have just not shown enough for what they spent, poor recruitment. The other problem PL has relative to other leagues atm is injuries and general burnout but that also applies to Arsenal(Saka, White, O, Kai)

@OzilThings @afcjxmes @PeakSxnti that just shows how sensitive and ridiculous our fanbase is. We are still on course for a quadruple, but giving Bruno his props is a criminal offence. I do think it should be given to 1 of our players as the award isnt purely for prem, but its not a terrible take anyways

@skftbl__ @1Walid1 @hfxafc You are missing the point. He doesnt want to play terrible #2 goalkeepers like Runnarson in either situation. With Kepa its fine to entrust an entire cup run including finals to, since that allows us to have a capable backup for Raya if he ever gets injured.

No disputes Raya is by far the better keeper but dropping Kepa for the final would be bad management. Also sends a negative message to any future #2 that it’s irrelevant if you helped take us to the final, sit on that bench for the biggest game.

Most clownish season ever. City are sooo bad yet we keep inviting them into the race. Lol even the EPL Chairman said they'd like new winners. Fighting tooth & nail with Wolves over 2 legs??

@RunsInBehind @dheller91 The opta rating is based on each team compared to the pot they are in. So Newcastle is put at most difficult relative to Pot 4 teams. The problem is this just means that the only reason English clubs had easier league phases is cuz they didnt play vs each other(contradicting OP)

@dheller91 What is this "Opta Team Rating" based on? Because it looks really weird to me. Arsenal faced Bayern, Atletico and Inter (last years finalist), yet Newcastle have a darker coloured shade that all of them, implying they're a higher rated, harder team than all three?

The Premier League is only doing well this year in the Champions League because there's only 1 Premier League team in the Top 21 hardest schedules, according to Opta. The league that is touted as the "toughest in the world" has had the most convenient path to advancing.

@_unstopable_m @femeninna Fully agree that the anti-regime movement shouldnt be overshadowed just because the regime happens to be anti-imperialist/zionist. But geopolitics aside, why is the sole alternative a monarch that by past and present indicators seek to serve foreign interests over its own people?

Thank you inna for your stance, we Iranians women really appreciate it. I second that and also want to emphasize that the political reality is far away from binary, and the entanglement between tragedies happening across the world is considerable. Unfortunately, human mind sometime doesn’t accept that everything is not black and white and both left and right leaning people make the same mistake. It should be clear the enemy of my enemy is NOT always my friend. In the case of Iran for example, many that rightfully have concerns about situations in Gaza perceive our Government as pro Palestine and don’t like to talk about the situation in Iran. This is very wrong, this government is murderous and if it is killing its own people in cold blood it cannot be real friend of any people. Please help to be our voice. #DigitalBlackoutlran #IranRevolution2026

I rarely take part in public reproaches addressed to fellow activists. Silence can have many reasons, and we, activists, don’t owe anything to anyone. Really. Still, some silences are not neutral. They are chosen. That’s where I speak. While images of bodies in black bags circulate from Iran, while women are imprisoned, raped, executed for refusing obedience, many fellow feminists and much of younger activist generation remains conspicuously quiet. This is disturbing. And painful. What makes it worse is not only the absence of solidarity, but its asymmetry: today, vocal support for Iranian women in the West comes disproportionately from the political right. And I hate it. This should trouble anyone who still believes feminism is about women, not about ideological comfort. The Iranian uprising is a Woman, Life, Freedom revolution. It is explicitly feminist, explicitly anti-theocratic, and explicitly led by women risking everything. Yet when their voices disrupt dominant narratives, they are often met with avoidance, suspicion, or strategic amnesia. We seem stuck in an ideological binary where lived reality is filtered not through listening, but through alignment. When real women speak in ways that do not fit the approved framework, they are quietly reassigned to “the wrong side”. The tragedy is not theoretical. This is how we abandon women. This is how feminist language vacates the field and leaves space for authoritarianism and the far right to claim the voices we refused to hear. Solidarity with free Iran ✌🏽

@saifmolla07 @amado7786 @CurranBoP Bizarre take. Compare the performances of these English clubs in Europe to the ones of 2010-2020. The quality of the league has definitely increased astronomically and the managerial quality is a huge part of that.

@amado7786 @CurranBoP Sure - but it is not reality Reality is that - there are loads of semi-decent managers in the prem that the meaning of consistency has been lost. There is only one manager working in the prem, who is in the same category as Wenger, Ferguson, prime Mou --
