@StephenKing I find myself at in a difficult position here as I normally don't agree with you. However, as a mom who did fly with her baby (now 24) with no other recourse but to fly, try some compassion. If the mom tried everything and yet it cries she is having a worse day than you.

@NAIRA680411 Ok it depends on if your defining a dot as an ink filled circular area or just a darkened circular area. A-13,(word dot counts),however, the circular area where the spiral wire enteres is a round darkened area that could be defined as a dot (11) so total 24.

Cancel your FIFA tickets and future visits to the US; if you care about your safety or human rights do not travel to the US under any circumstances, they will shoot you in the face or lock you up in a cage. It’s not a safe country.

While I highly disagree that T-Mobile has lost its “un-carrier” edge, I must say I’m flattered by Monica Alleven and Fierce Network for comparing me to Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs! Talk about a compliment!  fierce-network.com/wireless/what-…

@OldeWorldOrder @charliekirk11 To obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, you generally need a minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time. However, this can be reduced for pilots with specific aviation degrees or certifications. A R-ATP is 1,000 hours, so how the hell!!!!!

@charliekirk11 This lady only had a few hundred hours of flight experience ... and she was piloting a Black Hawk?! It usually takes THOUSANDS to earn that privilege. If not for DEI, all these people would still be alive right now.

This female pilot killed 70 people. Media largely ignoring. When you try and hire pilots based on criteria that doesn’t matter, it can result in unspeakable tragedy. Awful.
Alex Berenson@AlexBerenson

The @nytimes story on the January DC plane crash hides its takeaway until the last sentences: the lady helicopter pilot ignored multiple warnings from her right seat about altitude (and his directly telling her to turn away) and flew straight into a passenger jet. The end. Ugh.

@Izzmeister0417 @Andercot What was the purpose of this $30m flight? It's not like these women are going to go on to be astronauts or space engineers--who would have benefited from the experience.

I -Wish- it was as easy as saying "I want to get to know you." Tried multiple times, silence. Tried prayer, silence. Tried crying my eyes out and begging, silence. Life would be SO EASY to know with certainty that heaven is real and there's ways to go there, to know that I might one day be reunited with those I've lost and get to live forever. But it's never that easy. They always make it out like it's the most casual thing, but nobody ever mentions the deafening silence. At least the same is true for all the other gods I've tried forming relationships with. Really wouldn't be happy if it was Allah that picked up the spiritual phone.

Since #TamponTim is trending I'll point out that in high school, any boy who casually was like "Oh you got ur period? I stashed a pad from the bathroom in my backpack in case one of my friends needed it" -- that boy would be king stud. That boy would be drowning in prom invites.

@alexandr_wang @scale_AI Thank you! I'm a simple mom with a son in college at OSU. It's expensive, we can't really help, farming is hard, and he worries DEI would make it difficult for him to succeed. He's honors, hard working, smart, and this gives me hope for him.Thank you for leading & speaking out.

Today we’ve formalized an important hiring policy at Scale. We hire for MEI: merit, excellence, and intelligence. This is the email I’ve shared with our @scale_AI team. ——————————————————— MERITOCRACY AT SCALE In the wake of our fundraise, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about talent. All of our external success—powering breakthroughs in L4 autonomy, partnering with OpenAI on RLHF going back to GPT-2, supporting the DoD and every major AI lab, and the recent $1bn financing transaction—all of it is downstream from us hiring the best people for the job. Talent is our #1 input metric. Because of this, I spend a lot of my time on recruiting. I either personally interview every hire or sign off on every candidate packet. It’s the thing I spend the plurality of my time on, easily. But everyone can and should contribute to this effort. There are almost a thousand of us now, and it takes a lot to hire quickly while maintaining, and continuing to raise, our bar for quality. That’s why this is the time to codify a hiring principle that I consider crucial to our success: Scale is a meritocracy, and we must always remain one. Hiring on merit will be a permanent policy at Scale. It’s a big deal whenever we invite someone to join our mission, and those decisions have never been swayed by orthodoxy or virtue signaling or whatever the current thing is. I think of our guiding principle as MEI: merit, excellence, and intelligence. That means we hire only the best person for the job, we seek out and demand excellence, and we unapologetically prefer people who are very smart. We treat everyone as an individual. We do not unfairly stereotype, tokenize, or otherwise treat anyone as a member of a demographic group rather than as an individual. We believe that people should be judged by the content of their character — and, as colleagues, be additionally judged by their talent, skills, and work ethic. There is a mistaken belief that meritocracy somehow conflicts with diversity. I strongly disagree. No group has a monopoly on excellence. A hiring process based on merit will naturally yield a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and ideas. Achieving this requires casting a wide net for talent and then objectively selecting the best, without bias in any direction. We will not pick winners and losers based on someone being the “right” or “wrong” race, gender, and so on. It should be needless to say, and yet it needs saying: doing so would be racist and sexist, not to mention illegal. Upholding meritocracy is good for business and is the right thing to do. This approach not only results in the strongest possible team, but also ensures we’re treating our colleagues with fairness and respect. As a result, everyone who joins Scale can be confident that they were chosen for their outstanding talent, not any other reasons. MEI has gotten us to where we are today. And it’s the same thing that’ll get us where we’re going, as we embark on our next chapter focusing on data abundance, frontier data, and reliable measurement to accelerate the development and adoption of AI models. Alex

Dad here. This is an important message. Thank you for all your messages of concern, anger and frustration. I am in torment over this. We have discussed Alex’s needs previously and they fall on deaf ears or redress is shallow and ineffective. Alex has begged me not to raise it again as it creates resentment and he is bullied even more. Yes bullied. He doesn’t want that at the times of these exams. There will be a time but it is not now. Right now he just wants to get the grades he needs to study at a better more inclusive place and that place is Lychett Minster 6th form. 💪🏻🦿#AlexandersJourney
