Ha ha for sure yes. I lost my job just after my marriage day🤣, got a phone call. Now I know what happened. I was the top performer there as an intern. Working on operating systems. That scenario gave me a good trajectory of life and I never looked back. Their loss. I had to go through tough times but it’s all a learning experience. For me now I will keep trying and make myself better. Something will happen if not funding. Also there are enough good and kind people.

Women are not even in the ROOMS where those networks are built -- unless they're someone's girlfriend (which has its own professional risks). It's all ~70 years backwards. Women are sent to fringe pitch competitions etc that no one in the industry respects or even heard of. Made to host the party. Then maybe patted on the head. Or the ass. IDK how I raised my $$. I was nobody's girlfriend or even friend. I think I was just SO desperate!! 😅 I think being desperate and working very autonomously / building your own system is kinda the way! And finding good people. There are many.

@TheAnnaGat Women entrepreneurs are so much less likely to get funding, it's mind boggling. I've talked to several women who quit because they can't stand the toxic masculinity in these circles. It's depressing because society is shooting itself in the feet.

Everybody asks questions but nobody helps build the thing. I hope I have listened to guidance earlier.

@DStrachman 💕 I have been trying to do it and it’s heart warming to watch parents being happy and being creative with the play environment. May be you are right. It’s a joy. That’s what I love doing at home too.✨

Side project: Got into building a vision + OCR tool for elementary/middle school math worksheets, not to grade them, but to scan the sheet, read each problem correctly, and generate the answers. The real challenge is accurately reading the sheets, not just solving.

my mathsheet fact checker is still not done. So not all problems are solved instantaneously. You still have to learn your domain and what you are doing. this is becoming a lengthy project for a side project. this is what I am trying to do, This demo stores your upload locally, creates a worksheet session, and runs strict printed-question OCR plus deterministic solving so you can test the answer-sheet flow end to end.

So here is a thing I am thinking, if someone have any idea .. If an agent is able to figure out what’s there in the freeze and prompt recipes 24 hrs in advance without me participating in it for me that would be super helpful. Like it should keep a watch on it and putting it out in the app. Life is busy !!!! Insanely.

I think I still don’t believe, and try to forge my way out or leave the environment completely. When young I used to think my fault, now I am like I don’t give a s****. Those walls yeah they exist, but we might not be able to do the work we do if we think about those walls that’s what I think and try to figure out a way. I am not ready to be who I am not just for the sake of it. I love my ways more than ever now.

When I was a young woman, I did not believe *at all* that anything would be stacked against me because I was a woman. I walked through a lot whistling and confident. It was only later, out in "real life", that I bumped into those walls, incredulous. People's mentality, condescension, the exclusion -- things to overcome or bypass. I was SHOCKED. I hope that for GenZ women, even if it starts dark it will turn -- that they'll do it the other way round than we Millennials did. Maybe they just want to front load the heartbreak? Still, I think my blind young faith took me far, it was useful. The pain came later, and by then I had tools and strategies to deal with it. As always, "real life" is the best medicine for all fantasies and theories, good or bad.
Kat Rosenfield@katrosenfield

Shocking-not-surprising statistic here that young women disproportionately believe “things are stacked against me, no matter how hard I try,” and while I know some people will find this deeply ironic (it sort of is) it’s also both understandable and really sad

Things we don't say to 3yo: - that's wrong - you failed Things we say instead: - almost! - you can also... - interesting idea! How does that work?

@meimakes That’s what we do at nooks. Creating a similar rhythm every week. Rhythm plays a critical role here. Also activities are not openended play, we invite them to play. You might want to read Piagets philosophy on early childhood.

The gap in early education isn't content there are infinite activity printables and Pinterest crafts the gap is sequencing knowing what to do next, and why, so a 3yo is compounding skills instead of just staying busy
