I believe strongly that the sole measure of any ethical, spiritual, or therapeutic philosophy is conduct and experience.
I discourage shying away from terms like success, failure, and result.
I am bothered by disparaging expressions like “lust for result.” Or the taking of your question—“What do you mean by happiness?”
You know what you mean.
Such conventions, in their lowest iteration, avert your search and obfuscate your needs. They are often positions of convenience for the soi disant teacher.
I am not a teacher. I am a seeker—like you. And, like you, I recognize the precious grains remaining in the hourglass.
The hour is late—for all of us. We need workable ideas.
My path is not for everyone. Nor should it be for everyone. It is a descending octave.
And it works. Test me.
If I am wrong, you’ve lost the price of a cheeseburger. Is your life worth that?

@balefulrays "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak;but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church"

There is a t-shirt at Walmart that says “blessed.” It is on a rack between the leggings and Cookie Monster pajama pants for $16.98. The shirt was sewn by a woman earning two dollars a day in a country where she will never afford to buy what she made. It is being sold to a woman whose grocery bill has doubled in three years. The word blessed will sit across her chest while she does the math on whether she can keep her car another year or even pay for the gas.
A few rows over, in the seasonal section, there are Mountain Dew Baja Blast Croc rip-offs. The film Idiocracy put everyone in Crocs in 2004 to signal a debased future. By the time the film came out in 2006, everyone was wearing them. The shoe Mike Judge picked to mock became the actual shoe of the actual present.
Something is happening. It has a name and a long lineage.
Mockery has a direction. Up the ladder, it humanizes the powerful and reminds them which species they belong to. Down the ladder, it does something completely different. The corporation that printed the blessed shirt is above the woman wearing it.
The corporation has named her blessed inside the same economic system that ensures she will not be. That downward laugh confirms her position at the bottom by dressing her in a word she cannot afford to embody. She is being mocked into place.
The same pattern runs through the entertainment industry. The public humiliation rituals that asks the artist to perform their own degradation in public is pattern is older than Hollywood. It runs from the Roman triumph to the Walmart aisle.
