Dumas Sea Face in Surat: Private Agency to Take Over, Entry Fee Likely 🔹 Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) is handing over Dumas Sea Face operations to a private agency. 🔹 This beautiful tourist spot was developed at a massive cost of ₹244 crore. 🔹 Visitors currently enter for free, but digital or physical tickets may start soon. 🔹 The average daily footfall is estimated to be around 12,000 visitors. 🔹 The selected agency will get a 10-year contract to manage security, cleanliness, and traffic. 🔹 Project is divided into 5 zones featuring an urban beach, box cricket, yoga spaces, and cafes. 🔹 SMC estimates a potential revenue of around ₹50 crore from this setup. 🔹 Online applications for agencies to take the contract are open till May 30. Given the brvtal summers & rising temperatures every year, we seriously need to invest in R&D for construction materials that don't trap heat.
