Let’s run an experiment. Oil price at the beginning of 2026 was $63 and the diesel price was R17.58 per liter. The oil price went above $100 and the diesel price is now at R27 per liter. The oil price is now back down to $75. Let’s see how and if the diesel price ever drops.

High Court Orders Businessman Hamilton Ndlovu to Repay R150 Million PPE Tender Money The once-mighty empire of embattled businessman Hamilton Ndlovu is crumbling. The High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division in Pretoria, has dismissed an application by Ndlovu and his associated companies to reinstate their lapsed appeal against the Special Tribunal’s order of 7 June 2022. The dismissal confirms that Ndlovu and his entities have no prospects of success in challenging the Special Tribunal’s findings, which set aside unlawful PPE contracts awarded by the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) and directed the repayment of R158,850,921.13. The appeal had lapsed due to the appellants' failure to act within the prescribed timelines. The court found that their explanation for the delays was superficial, contradictory, and dishonest. Evidence presented in the case revealed that Ndlovu used multiple front companies to fraudulently exploit emergency procurement processes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Special Investigating Unit's (SIU) investigation found that nearly 90% of the NHLS funds were diverted to Ndlovu and his family for luxury assets including cars, houses, and investments rather than being used for the intended PPE supply. Between March and April 2021, the NHLS awarded 19 contracts for personal protective equipment (PPE), worth R172 million, to companies controlled by Ndlovu. However, only R13.8 million of the allocated funds was actually used for the procurement of PPE. The remainder was diverted for Ndlovu's personal enrichment. In 2022, the Special Tribunal declared the contracts unlawful and set them aside. The tribunal also ordered the repayment of R158.8 million, highlighting the misconduct involved in the awarding of these contracts. Following this ruling, Ndlovu and his companies attempted to file an appeal; however, they failed to act within the required timeframe. Their subsequent application for condonation and reinstatement of the appeal was ultimately dismissed. This ruling follows a series of civil litigation cases initiated by the SIU and the NHLS to recover assets acquired through the unlawful procurement of PPE during the COVID-19 pandemic. The SIU is empowered by Proclamation R.23 of 2020, authorised by President Cyril Ramaphosa, to investigate allegations of corruption, malpractice, maladministration, and irregularities in the procurement of goods and services by State institutions in response to COVID-19. In line with the Special Investigating Units and Special Tribunals Act 74 of 1996 (SIU Act), the SIU refers any evidence of criminal conduct uncovered during its investigation to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) for further action. The SIU is also authorised to initiate civil proceedings in the High Court or a Special Tribunal in its own name to correct any wrongdoing uncovered during its investigation and to recover financial losses suffered by the State, including funds paid for services not rendered.

The claim stems from a 2019 anonymous FBI tip in DOJ's Jan 2026 Epstein files (EFTA01249586), alleging a 1996 abduction and presence of Weinstein and Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) at Epstein's mansion. Sources like Variety note it's unverified, with no corroboration or implication of guilt. No public response from Jay-Z.

@RamaboduObakeng They are private companies funded by private individuals, feel free to open your own businesses and make your own employment decisions. Who are you or the government to dictate to private companies how to run their businesses? Your or government money wasn’t used to fund them.

Obakeng COT MMC Environment Agriculture .
Racial discrimination in employment needs a serious attention, particularly in private companies. I'm at some car dealerships for my car service , I'm flabbergasted and irritated by the number of white people working in these company’s top management including receptionists . Our black brothers and sisters are just cleaners and drivers. I will be writing a letter to the top management to ask for employment ratio stats.
