We won’t sit back while Jewish Americans are getting attacked in our own country and wait for the next tragedy. We introduced the No Amnesty for Hamas Sympathizers Act, cutting off all immigration benefits and legal protections for individuals from Palestinian-controlled areas or those holding Palestinian Authority travel documents. This should never happen in America. This bill slams the door shut and keeps terrorist sympathizers and antisemitic extremists out.

President Trump should cut off all federal funding for New York City until Mamdani resigns. Mamdani is using taxpayer money to make Palestinian propaganda about Nakba and his supporters are threatening to attack Jews in New York on a daily basis. Owners are specifically prohibited from keeping up with costs after ten years. That means they need to recover more investment early. If they can’t, no go.

@DukeandDukeCB @ryanbebb @PVDMayor Read the cap again. CPI or 5%, whichever is lower. In normal inflation years landlords get full CPI. The 5% only bites during spikes which has happened twice in 40 years. You're describing a permanent inflation lag the policy doesn't create.

The goal stated goal was to encourage housing while avoiding costs to taxpayers. A lifetime exemption from rent control does that. Applying rent controls after 10 years STRONGLY discourages it.

I specifically said a PERMANENT exemption, not a 10 year exemption, especially with vacancy control attached, that essentially shuts down rental construction and drives up market rents. Rent controls should not apply to any unit. Ever.
