@KayB_Sej @D_Preacher_1 You're talking about physical reality, not math. That math will continue to map to reality is an article of faith.

@Pathfinder4545 @D_Preacher_1 This "unreasonable effectiveness" suggests math maps to an objective external reality, making it an evidenced-based model rather than a blind belief.

Math isn’t something people “believe” in the way religion is. Math is a system we can test, verify, and use to predict real-world outcomes consistently, whether you were taught it as a child or not. 2 + 2 = 4 doesn’t depend on culture, faith, or upbringing. It works the same in Lagos, Tokyo, or anywhere else. If it didn’t, engineering, technology, and science would collapse instantly. God, on the other hand, is a matter of faith. Different cultures believe in different gods, and those beliefs often come from upbringing, not universal proof. So no, it’s not the same. One is demonstrable and repeatable. The other is belief-based.

@D_Preacher_1 Do people believe in math because they found evidence, or because they were taught to believe as children? Yes, it's the same. God's existence is the most well-proven fact ever.

@KayB_Sej @D_Preacher_1 That is false. And irrelevant. Math is either incomplete, or internally inconsistent, or both. And we can't know which.

@Pathfinder4545 @D_Preacher_1 Math predicts the physical world with 100% accuracy (e.g., orbits). Its utility in reality proves it’s more than just a circular trust.

@Pathfinder4545 @DillerMug @ScienceQriosity @Leophilius @feedfracture Again, nothing to do with propping up my worldview, everything to do with demonstrating that the bible contradicts reality on at least one point. The geocentric "immovable Earth" themes are another. The sun being created 3 days after Earth is another. It isn't the word of God. 🥂

@Pathfinder4545 @DillerMug @ScienceQriosity @Leophilius @feedfracture Not grounded in anything 🤣 scripture? Of course you will shrug it off as though it means nothing. Meanwhile, we're not as seperate as the bible says we are. He couldn't even seperate our code from every animal on earth. He basically took a chimp and made it slightly less chimpy.

Muslims accept Jesus as a prophet of God. So as a non Muslim, why is it so difficult for you to accept Muhammad as a prophet too?

@Saganismm Carl knew when he said those words that God is. He more than many had the evidence placed before him. He is now beyond denial.

“I have some discomfort both with believers and with nonbelievers when their opinions are not based on facts. I am extremely uncomfortable with dogmatic atheists, who claim there can be no God; to my knowledge, there is no strong evidence for that position. I'm also uncomfortable with dogmatic believers; to my knowledge, they don't have any strong evidence either. If we don't know the answer, why are we under so much pressure to make up our minds, to declare our allegiance to one hypothesis or the other?” — Carl Sagan, Interview for U.S. Catholic magazine

@sapienshasan There are no good people. People do not earn hell for "disbelief". People earn hell for their sins. God is not simply merciful. He is just.

@ateo_digital At the moment of the crucifixion, the path for salvation was made. God would begin taking back all of the people groups from which he had divorced himself. One at a time. As corruption had spread and conquered humanity, now the truth spreads to take it all back. 8/8

@ateo_digital That people was the Hebrews. They demonstrated that even God's chosen people would not live rightly, from the ongoing corruption of sin. Thus, that savior had to be God incarnate: Jesus. His self-sacrifice made possible the reconciliation of God's justice w/ his mercy. 7/

Y no, no eran sociedades primitivas.

@Pathfinder4545 @DillerMug @ScienceQriosity @Leophilius @feedfracture Not so much to justify my worldview, more to discredit yours, not that it needs any help from me. And i don't even have a problem with belief in God, it's not unreasonable, but reality doesn't align with the bible. Everything in it is recycled from earlier fables and religions.
