@Sir_Nevets18 @flasportsbuzz I'm a big fan of the D because several guys from my alma mater play there. My concern is that, like my alma mater—whose last two coaches grew up fans—we're letting sentimentality guide choices. Neither coach delivered. Really hope the Dolphins choose wisely.

Quick note on Troy Aikman. I've been told many times how he was incredibly involved, incredibly thoughtful and completely committed to the Dolphins' GM search. I hope he stays at ESPN forever, but if he ever does something else... Man, the Cowboys should just put him in charge.

Decision was made that GM would be priority - instead of jumping on Harbaugh and having him pick a GM - and Dolphins stuck to it. This is a team that needs a rebuild and they now have a very skilled talent evaluator who can (with Ross) choose between a younger coach or a pursuit of JH.

Mike's an adult. He can handle this. He will be paid handsomely whether he's kept or not. Don't make this harder than it needs to be.

I think you don't see any of us Fins writers/columnists freaking out because it has been only 4 1/2 hours; the Dolphins have made some good value signings in the past; and season doesn't start until Sept. We all have learned not to evaluate offseason until players are signed.
