Excellent news from my home town. From a transport PoV, this should be a catalyst for electrifying Calder Valley line, developing tram train service towards Bury on @eastlancsrly (which could save 🚂 aspect?), and completing Metrolink branch from Crumpsall to Middleton 🚈

Get a californian lilac for the garden if you haven't got one. The pollinators go mad for it. Ours is absolutely covered in bees and butterflies. Wonderful to see 🐝
