You just pointed out the answer yourself.
The question assumes that Adam and Eve needed prior knowledge of wrong before disobeying but that’s backwards. According to the story, the act of disobedience created the experience of wrong. They didn’t need prior moral knowledge, God’s command defined what obedience and disobedience were.
So their awareness of wrong came through the choice itself, not before it. That’s the logic your own question implies.

Belief in God and moral character are not separate things.
Belief in God is just one part of it. It isnt the entirety of it.

@Patroklo @ian_c0d3s Cristo no dijo que en la Nueva Alianza hubiera que seguir los preceptos de la Ley Mosaica. Dursnte la vida terrenal de Cristo, aún regía ls Antigua Alianza, a la que él dio cumplimiento con Su muerte y Resurrección.
Y en algunos casos, la vulnera. Por ejemplo, al curar en Sábat.

Solo los 10 mandamientos son importantes. El resto eran reglas creadas en el exilio.
