🇫🇷 Maghnes Akliouche is a very technically gifted advanced playmaker. He’s best when operating in and around the edge of the penalty area, where he’s always looking to find penetrative passes for his teammates. He’s got a great left foot and weighs his passes perfectly. He is effective at disguising his passes by using different parts of his foot and with his body positioning to come up with creative solutions. He ranks in the top 10 wingers in Ligue 1 for chances created (42) and big chances created (8) this season. He’s also a very progressive player who loves to be on the ball. He will regularly look to play through balls and play the ball forward with his link-up play. Another aspect I like about him is that he’s a good pressing player, and also runs a lot without the ball. Ranks 6th in Ligue 1 for possessions won in the final third (1.10 per 90) and in the 91st percentile for recoveries among his positional peers (5.61 per 90). What you’re getting with him is a player who brings a lot of value in possession and who will look to unlock defences while also maintaining intensity out of possession.
