Only a few hours into iOS 18.3, but I don’t like marking AI notification summarization by italicization. Feels like a lazy, quick visual hack. And it just looks weird. Why not outline the notifications using the tech in a small light ring similar to the new Siri effect?

@alexisxrivas Any tips on downloading all of those permits en-masse? I’ve recently been playing with crime datasets in LA and would love to see what other datasets are out there.

Our software team analyzed thousands of public permit records in LA City.
On average, for new detached ADUs it took LA City 302 days from permit submittal to permit issued. Median 238 days.
CA state law says a complete permit needs to be approved or denied in 60 days...

I have heard from multiple sources that Los Angeles is potentially violating state ADU law on a mass scale, slow walking housing production at a time when the city needs it most. Hopefully the state intervenes, but the real fix here is self-certification and third party review.

First off, did you notice that as of 1.88 you no longer have to reload the editor when you update extensions?
Now you just reload extensions. Kind of a small thing, but also...no more editor reload is kinda HUGE.

@PaulMest Ah, this is my least favorite issues with flat-ui. On/off states are not as clear as they used to be when UI resembled analog buttons, especially when icons are also the buttons to switch. Maybe if we added toggles under each button?

@zeeg I was skeptical of GraphQL until a few years ago when @WonderPandaDev showed a demo of using it with @HasuraHQ. He combined it with modern codegen tools for consumption in a full-stack TypeScript project. These patterns leveled up our small team's productivity within ~2 weeks.
