Hey @NocFree I want to support you and have twice now in the last 2 days bought your product from Amazon and both times I've received the wrong item that doesn't include RGB and palm rests. Would love to resolve this because I still want one...

@diegohaz I'm a huge fan of the pay more once approach! I feel like TailwindUI set a good trend here and proved that it's a super viable business model

I'm considering a one-time, lifetime access payment option for Ariakit Plus. Would you rather pay:

@kylemathews This is really awesome! I've had my eye on ElectricSQL for a while now but haven't made time to kick the tires. Looking forward to seeing the boilerplate you've been working on if you decide to publish it!

In the past week I built and deployed two micro-apps. I was curious what exactly would take the most time so took fairly detailed notes as I went so I could write this post. First a bit about the apps and then I’ll breakdown the time spent and draw a few implications.

@leeerob > I would then be able to remove the edge runtime & rendering to what benefit in this remix demo? rendering the shell live probably takes 1ms since it's just react spitting out html

I built an app to showcase Remix streaming and edge rendering on Vercel. It blocks rendering for some parts of the UI, and for others it `defer`s, allowing for a faster initial response with a loading skeleton. Some thoughts on the Remix experience ↓ remix-defer-vercel.vercel.app

@flybayer @nextjs Are you still feeling good about moving to app router or in retrospect do you feel like it was "too early" and needs more time to mature? Your posts sometimes remind me of a canary in a coal mine

What is this you ask? It's the built-in @nextjs "take a break" screen that happens about every 20 minutes while developing. 😥 The app router dev speed is certainly faster than old pages router now, but you still get dumb stuff like this. This is latest nextjs + node v20

I wrote a SQL database engine purely using @typescript's new template literal type annotations. Supports SELECT (with joins!), INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE etc.

@ThePrimeagen @t3dotgg I aspire to this so hard but it still eludes me. Getting up often in the 7s now and it feels amazing to be able to accomplish stuff before the work day even starts but I crave even more productivity

@flybayer This is inspiring. How long after coming to this realization did you get to fulfill the dream of becoming a founder?

I knew I was destined to be a founder when I realized I was only able to use like 15% of my skills & capacity at a normal job. What percent are you able to use in current job?

#UmActuallyGame is the trivia game for those who love all things #GeekCulture, but with a twist! the facts you'll hear read out loud will SOUND correct, but really there's something not QUITE right. chime in with "um, actually..." and show off your pedantic knowledge to win!

I know very few people who enjoy writing TypeScript. In fact, most people would likely avoid it if they could rely on type inference for everything.

Hey @Apple, public shaming time. I ordered a MBP as a Guest; when I went to link it to my Apple ID you created another unverified, inaccessible account with my Apple ID email. After several hours of being bounced around Apple support I was told that I would need to return it. WTF

@alexbdebrie @ahachete On modern hardware, "super low queue volume" could easily be in the hundreds of thousands to millions of queued items per day handled now problem on an RDBMS

@ahachete Agreed! If you're doing super low queue volume and don't want to add a piece of infra, your RDBMS is fine. Just be wise about when it is and isn't a good idea.

Fun to see two well-represented groups in this discussion: - Fans of using database as a queue with outbox pattern - Those that would never use a database as a queue and insist it's an anti-pattern
Alex DeBrie@alexbdebrie

Seeing the top post on HN about moving from RabbitMQ --> Postgres for a task queue. Question for AWS users -- have you ever *not* used SQS for a queue? And if so, what was the reason -- missing capabilities, price, performance, something else? (I freaking love SQS)
