I built an app to showcase Remix streaming and edge rendering on Vercel. It blocks rendering for some parts of the UI, and for others it `defer`s, allowing for a faster initial response with a loading skeleton. Some thoughts on the Remix experience ↓ remix-defer-vercel.vercel.app

@flybayer @nextjs Are you still feeling good about moving to app router or in retrospect do you feel like it was "too early" and needs more time to mature? Your posts sometimes remind me of a canary in a coal mine

What is this you ask? It's the built-in @nextjs "take a break" screen that happens about every 20 minutes while developing. 😥 The app router dev speed is certainly faster than old pages router now, but you still get dumb stuff like this. This is latest nextjs + node v20

I wrote a SQL database engine purely using @typescript's new template literal type annotations. Supports SELECT (with joins!), INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE etc.

@ahachete Agreed! If you're doing super low queue volume and don't want to add a piece of infra, your RDBMS is fine. Just be wise about when it is and isn't a good idea.
