Maybe the reason why there are so many potholes isn't because the council aren't doing their job, but because so many of you selfish pricks are driving round in 3 ton SUVs

I wonder perhaps if maybe they could also look into the enormous weight of electric cars.

@SandyofSuffolk My Tesco always has a queue to use them no one at the old fashioned check outs so we’re slightly at odds about who may be telling the truth 👍

I've never used self checkout. Ever. And I never will. Today in Aldi, there was only one person at self checkout and people queuing to use the manned checkouts. When will shops realise the majority of people don't want self checkouts?

You can blame pot holes on councils all you want but if you choose to drive an SUV then you are part of the problem! theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/a…

@JossSheldon @pitsare @dullhawk As a parent I want to be able to pass on the fruits of my hard labour which I have paid tax on already to my children, they should not have to pay tax on anything that has already been taxed.

If you "made" it 100% on your own - without help from anyone else, without any natural resources, without any help from society, without any other economic agents - then no, it doesn't have that right. If you "made" that money off the backs of other people's work, off natural resources, off inheritance - then you didn't "make" it yourself - and you don't have a right to keep it. We should abolish sales taxes. We should abolish income tax on anyone who isn't rich. It's the rich who are stealing and hoarding our wealth. We need justice, be that through tax or through guillotines.

"Left-wingers want high taxes" Err, no... Left-wingers want to tax the rich. They want to redistribute that wealth to the masses, and invest in public services, to improve the lives of regular folk. Right-wingers want to tax the poor. They want to give your money to the rich.

@EVCurveFuturist Structurally they couldn’t take the strain as they’re full of overweight EVs they were not designed for 🤔

I’ll say it again—EVERY car park worldwide should have a solar roof. No exceptions. This alone could generate ~6–8% of global electricity—from space we’ve already built. No new land. No trade-offs. Just unused surface → energy. The system is this obvious. ⚡🔋 #Bettrification

@jonbrooks What do you propose, if they’re up for sale surely the price will be reflected by their market value if no one wants them.

Nobody wants a 3,500 sq ft boomer house. Gen Z doesn't want it. Millennials can't afford it. Foreign buyers are gone. These homes are becoming stranded assets. And there are thousands of them sitting on the market right now.

In the middle of a global fuel crisis I’ve got 93% battery and 415 km of driving in the tank - powered by rooftop solar. No petrol station. No oil shock. No drama. This is what real energy security looks like. #EV #RooftopSolar #EnergySecurity #ClimateAction

@ConorMcGilligxn Us or Forest. Farke needs to get this squads confidence up with the injuries. He’s banked on his starting XI so far, hopefully it’s not too late.

Just can't see West Ham going now, turned a corner - like their next few fixtures for them too. I know Wolves aren't great, but this has been turning since that Forest loss, some job by Nuno (so far).

@shaguncrypto People are always quick to criticise another section of the community that are not responsible for their predicament. Boomers are not responsible for current house prices the government are that where you should aim not at the minions

I had a boomer telling me to just cut small expenses and buy a house. Like skipping coffee will magically produce a $100k down payment. I told him my small expenses are things like internet, phone, and apps that literally run my life. He goes, In my day we didn’t need all that. Yeah… in your day houses cost 2x income, not 10x.

Too many boomers have this really toxic assumption that young people are unable to afford a house because they’re lazy and don’t work hard. Most young people I know are working full time specialised jobs, having the majority of their salary swallowed by renting (despite it being a flatshare) taxes and cost of living. It’s almost impossible for young people nowadays, without the help of their family, to afford a house. And then they get blamed for having a Netflix subscription or getting the odd takeaway as if saving that £300 a year would let them afford a £20,000 deposit.

Test drives end the debate. Fuel prices finish the job. This isn’t marketing—it’s economics. “I’ll never buy an EV.” → test drive → checks fuel prices → installs charger Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated 😉⚡ #Bettrification #EV #Solar #Renewables #RipICE

Can’t we get Mick Lynch running a party? The only issue he had on tonight’s Newsnight was trying not to laugh at Laila Cunningham as he tied here in knots. He is so well researched and sure of his words, he never shouts or gets rattled ever. He’s just such an impressive communicator.
