Closing the crossings is not a temporary measure… and preventing many humanitarian supplies and essential materials from entering Gaza is a suffocation of an entire way of life. Today, Gaza is still besieged in every sense of the word: patients without treatment, families without shelter, children without a future, and families waiting for relief at a closed gate. All border crossings must be opened, and a rapid, sustained and unimpeded flow of aid instated – including items which have been restricted so far, but are essential to lifesaving humanitarian services. Enough blockade. Enough suffering. #open_crossings #advocacy

In Gaza, MSF continues to treat an alarming number of patients with severe facial burns in our clinic in Gaza City. Among the most vulnerable are children, who make up 85 per cent of our current cohort of 88 active patients in the Gaza City clinic. To prevent permanent disfigurement and disability, patients require specialised pressure therapy masks. Since 2020, MSF has been the only provider of 3D-printed physiotherapy masks in Gaza. These masks apply consistent pressure to healing burns, preventing hypertrophic scarring and contractures that can impair breathing, movement, and facial function. But since the Israeli authorities revoked the registration of MSF to work in Palestine, along with 37 other NGOs, on 3 December, 2025, we've been unable to get new supplies into Gaza. We are running out of filament, the essential material needed to create each customised mask. At the same time, only two functioning 3D scanners remain in the entire Strip. Spare parts for printers are also blocked. We urge all relevant authorities to take immediate action to allow the delivery of essential medical supplies, equipment and spare parts into Gaza.

I was just speaking with my brother, Dr. Momen, who works at Al-Shifa Hospital — the main hospital in Gaza. He told me something really shocking. Hospitals are receiving a large number of daily cases due to a massive spread of rodents across Gaza. He said this is something they’ve never seen at this scale before. There are widespread skin diseases affecting people of all ages, cases of food poisoning, and many incidents of bites — especially among children. Honestly, the number of rodents we’re seeing is overwhelming. It’s no longer just about exposed food — they’ve even started getting into packaged food. It feels like an invasion. All of this is happening because garbage and rubble are everywhere.

Palestinian Ibrahim Abu Aram suffers from a rare and life-threatening skin disease, pemphigus vulgaris, along with severe complications from prolonged corticosteroid use, blood poisoning, and brain damage. He has waited four years for urgent medical care, with every delay putting his life at greater risk. He is not just a patient, Ibrahim is a father and husband fighting for a chance to live, recover, and return to care for his family.

Today, after getting dressed and ready to travel to Deir al-Balah to buy baby formula, I noticed something unusual at the beginning of the road… cars were turning back, there was noise, pale faces, and the sound of gunfire. Then I saw a tank on top of the hill, and I understood that the occupation was approaching Salah al-Din Street, possibly to close it or because there was an operation in the area. Gunfire was random, and drones were hovering in the sky. I saw a car speeding by carrying about three injured people. There was also a vehicle belonging to an international health organization whose driver was killed, and it was carrying a foreign medical delegation. The situation was extremely dangerous and chaotic, so I returned to my place and waited for things to calm down. After the crossings were closed, prices have become unbearably high. One of the most scarce and expensive essentials is baby formula. Many families have told me that their children are in urgent need of it. Therefore, our new initiative will focus on providing baby formula for infants in Gaza. We will wait for two days until the situation improves, then I will try to travel and purchase as much as possible to distribute to families in need. I kindly ask anyone who can help not to hesitate to help the infants of Gaza. This is no longer a luxury, it is a matter of life🙏🫂 chuffed.org/project/149470 paypal.me/NizarAlmasre

Iranian Jewish Rabbi standing on top of the ruins of a bombed synagogue in Tehran by ‘Israel’

Since the US & Israel bombed Irans railway today, I thought I’d share a video of from my 18 hour train ride over 700 miles from Bandar Abbas in the South to Tehran in the north. The train ride cost $8. You get a bed, limitless coffee and tea, and lamb kobideh for lunch.
