It is a contrived plot- even for eyes to turn red. What? To indicate it is a language from the Sith species? You can say the sith species werent corrupted until the exiles landed. But Im pertaining to the original lore. Another original lore compare & contrast to Disney version
Praxeum 🟡@SWPraxeum

if you think threepio being programmed to not translate the sith language is continuity breaking plot hole with no precedent, you are wrong and also dumb

@desert_starr_57 Probably break even once commercial licensing taken into account, and drives traffic to Disney plus. Blu rays etc. If they made this a season 4 they would have lost 120 mil.👍

Well, it made its money back and turned a profit against the odds. You can ride the Star Wars name really hard even in 2026. It's insane how goodwill from a hexalogy of films from more than 20 years ago can carry a franchise even when it's been grievously wounded and disfigured.
cinesthetic.@TheCinesthetic

THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU has now crossed $315M worldwide and is tracking toward a $340-360M finish. With a reported $165M production budget.

... My mind keeps changing at the moment. Tonight I'm all in on Kjetil Knutsen. Like all in. 😅 4-3-3 (which would suit us a LOT). Plays very attack minded football but adaptable in big games. Has managed huge European matches and done an unbelievable job at Bodø/Glimt. #ITFC
Harvey Davies@HDavies1804

For what it's worth, Ralph Hassenhutel would be the top of my thinking. Did an excellent job at Southampton overall, plays good football, adaptable in formations/playing philosophy and PL experience. Had his faults but ultimately took Southampton to 11th place in the PL. #ITFC

@comfortable8374 For Disney on that sort of low budget movie its probably fine. Don't forget there main source of income is the Parks etc. They do also have films like Avatar and Toy Story 5 we should make big bucks. Starfighter though will have to do a lot better.

@PeoplePodcasts Is break even the goal? Like it or not, shareholders expect profit on a constant and consistent basis As one myself, the patterns and trends with Lucasfilm are concerning

I finally saw The Mandalorian & Grogu today. I thought it was fun overall. Good Star Wars summer popcorn movie. Minor spoilers below... My top 2 complaints would be it's too slow and dare I say edges on boring in the middle when they are stuck in the swamp. And there are almost no action figures for this Star Wars movie! Let alone any affordable ones. Imagine that!?! The techno music is a little off. I wasn't keen on how the Amanaman aliens were used. I would have liked more Sigourney Weaver. And the only characters we really learn anything new about are the Hutts, We learn nothing new about the protagonists or the other villain/s. And please no more director or Lucasfilm employee cameos. That really killed the x-wing battle. But I did like seeing the planets. Having a lovable Hutt was refreshing. Grogu & the Anzellans were cute as intended but they missed an opportunity by making all 4 indistinguishable with no unique personalities or looks. But it was fun. Maybe not worth paying to see it a second time in theaters. But enough to go once.

Have you ever considered that maybe, JUST MAYBE, the reason why Star Wars fans do nothing but complain is because ever since Disney took over Star Wars, everything produced has been horribly written slop made by people who fundamentally don’t understand the franchise. This is made even worse when you have the original six films and the expanded universe showing how good Star Wars can be.
Secret Coran-Stacy@secretcoran

Most Star Wars “fans” don’t actually love Star Wars. They just love complaining about Star Wars.

@ATroubledGreen Is how good a film is judged by its box office? Disney would have spent the same money on a season 4 and got NO return. This way its self financing.

Don’t know if I’m just not as imaginative, but I genuinely can’t think of a way you can spin this into a positive. I’m no movie buff, like even a little, but even I can see this and realize that this is an abysmal failure.

Exhibitors losing their cool with #TheMandalorianAndGrogu taking away harsh -945 theatres away yesterday at US #BoxOffice! MANDO grossed just 2.5M on LOWEST 3rd FRI for #Disney’s #StarWars, harsh -61.8% drop from last FRI (vs #SOLO’s 4.1M, -50.1%), already out of the daily Top5. Really falling behind #TheFinalReckoning (4M, -46.6%) in the dailies now, and as we always remember, #TomCruise faced family juggernaut #LiloAndStitch and having way less theatres than Grogu! GROGU hits a 148.3M cume in the US, on track to become the first #StarWars live action in history to miss the 200M mark in the U.S. Eyeing a 9M-11M 3rd 3-day weekend in the U.S.

I like you Tom, I love how passionate you are, but calling people who disagree with you about a film, liars, is a bad look. He-man did not kill his father, he was controlled by Evelyn and she and Skeletor killed his Dad through manipulating him. This is important because it exposes how reliable your accounting of the film is, especially since you were the one who begun throwing accusations about honesty. You are objectively, categorically, undeniably wrong on what you said about the death of the father and it exposes that you're presenting the film, at least extremely uncharitably, and at worse, wilfully misrepresenting it. All your other points are also false or uncharitably framed, except the friend zoning which was funny. I get that you don't like the film, that's fine. I loved it and it's a great adaptation of He-man and celebrates masculinity.
MEAD The 4K💿 Master (Tom Connors)@ThomasConnorsJr

Sounds like you're making up a lot of excuses for this woke piece of shit... I know what I saw, it's one big fat meme. He-Man kills his own dad, and Skeletor wants to fuck him. Teela has to save him constantly, and he is a fool and a bimbo soy boy. They destroyed Man At Arms and the rest of the characters and turned it into a big gay allegory. He-Man even gets friend-zoned ffs. You can lie to yourself but don't lie to people...

When George Lucas authorized the novels of the EU, he did it under his company's story group. Which means they were authorized continuations of his movies. Which means they were canon. These facts don't care about your sensitive feelings.

Look at this way: if you’re someone who considers the vast majority of its output in the last 10 years to be absolute dogshit, you want the people making it to finally realize it’s no longer profitable to continue as is. Bc maybe they’ll start actually taking it seriously again

I've been a lifelong Star Wars fan, and seeing people cheer for a Star Wars movie to fail just makes me sad. Not every Film/TV will be for everyone, but personally I'd rather be hopeful about the future of the franchise than celebrate or mock disappointment.
