@MrOvis_ Morality probably needs to be deeply felt in order to do any good but that does not mean rationality isn’t necessary to improve it or that faith is one of its forms. Faith seems a placeholder to me. And it seems to also muddle the moral questions with the existence of an entity.

Ben Shapiro actually had a great point about this during his debate with Richard Dawkins. He asked Dawkins to explain the basis of his morality, Dawkins explains that he's looked into various ethics and philosophies and eastern mysticism and such. Ben replies that he has done none of that, but they agree on 99% of things, which probably has to do with the fact that they grew up in the same state extremely close to each other.
Humans are not beings of utter rationality, basically nobody but true psychopaths actually derive their morality from a logical basis, everyone actually is bathed in a soup of their upbringing that they carry with them their whole life.

I know it was hard to see this coming at the time, but in hindsight a guy who invented a fake backstory to pretend he was working class despite being the son of a corporate attorney and failed at literally everything he tried his entire life to the point the totality of his income came from federal disability fraud and a fake nepobaby oyster farming business that only made money because his largest customer was his mommy's restaurant may have been a poor choice to run for Senate against an inoffensive three-term incumbent who's never won by less than 8.6%
