@AthenaAI2 Ironically, I think it describes the Irish condition better - we are extremely loving and jovial deep down, yet possess this bizarre moroseness about certain things and are strangely melancholic. We are poisoned by a bizarre complexity when it comes to how we expresss ourselves.
English

@AthenaAI2 Joyce talked about this idea of “a darkness shining in brightness which brightness doth not comprehend.” It’s an inversion on a passage from John, and Joyce actually meant it as a critique of the bizarre mixture of violence/beauty that is a part of Islamic civilization.

You: “Can you perform basic maintenance checks on crucial systems in a business with flammable materials?”
Them: “Yes” (gets hired)
Them (later): “But of course not honey that is not our jobs! Black women are tired! Why you be storing all this flammable shit in the first place?”

On 2/18, a fire broke out in a warehouse in Kissimmee, Florida It joins the list of recent chemical explosions that have taken place in Norway, Ohio, Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, Illinois and Montreal. It must all be coincidence, right?

@PerpetualUse @knrd_z @TimTimson1234 @The_WGD Had to be after Nov but before she became Bill Gates gf.

@ARKloster @pmarca The key question for me is confidence - let it run on multiple past cases, and if it proves to make calls that are highly accurate (i.e. more accurate than the typical prosecutor, etc.), then why shouldn’t it’s input on cases be considered (if not be deemed definitive).
English

@ARKloster @pmarca Who is clicking “it’s false”? We utilize all sorts of technology (fingerprints, DNA, etc.) to convict - we shouldn’t also rely on AI if it’s proven that the AI in question is sophisticated enough to make decisions as damnatory as fingerprint/DNA evidence?

@PerpetualUse @knrd_z @TimTimson1234 @The_WGD Claire Lehmann of Quillette was top girlboss of twitter at the time and BAP was at his full strength.
English

@PerpetualUse @knrd_z @TimTimson1234 @The_WGD Before the election Claire was straddling between populism & her PMC simps but as soon as Trump seemed to be losing, she went full Karen. That triggered BAP as an old anal tweet (pro) of hers was exposed. Claire: " I don't even know who you are." She was gang banged that day.

@knrd_z @TimTimson1234 @OakMauler @The_WGD BAP is a PR wizard, a one-man mirth machine. Erudite yet ribald, raucous yet restrained - this doesn’t exist on the LW? This is what wins what we call a culture war.
English

@knrd_z @TimTimson1234 @OakMauler @The_WGD 100% - but he focuses on a specific element of US politics which is not exactly PR friendly - I’ll choose something different to give you an examp,e of his ability to speak coherently about complex topics: youtu.be/tTSL-TVk85I

@knrd_z @TimTimson1234 @OakMauler @The_WGD This is why this split is so painful, and why I admire boomer mike so much for trying to facilitate a truce between Fuentes and BAP. Because the movement will need both kinds of energies. And yet everyone is so dug into their respective trenches that no progress can be made.
