@arunjayanthi_ @raycast How do you mean? I haven't encountered any errors. E.g. I have browser, notion, codex, terminal, all in fullscreen spaces and moving back and forth.

Switching spaces without animations in the new @raycast beta solves one of the most annoying problem I've had with macOS. My workflow is windows in full-screen spaces ordered in a particular way and I switch between them using ⌃→/← (caps lock is control).

@raycast If we could also switch between applications (e.g. ⌘ tab, or application shortcuts) without animations I'd finally stop reminiscing about XMonad.

Code review processes are split between blind approval and active distrust/ignoring known sloppers. But this means there are now cliques of slop-slingers approving each others PRs, which now means 5k LOC PRs.

Managers are getting upset about not getting reviews on their massive slop-dump PRs (I suspect the "no more pure management" trend is accelerating this). The breakneck pace is making it impossible to control quality, and that's if anyone even prioritizes quality.

I've been struggling to articulate this but software engineering has become less fun and its not the same as "I miss writing code by hand", I do, but collaboration and teamwork sucks now. Folks aren't reading, piping Slack convos through an LLM, carelessness galore.

I used to fire up a smoker behind @FoundationCap's office while we incubated Cerebras and I smoked brisket for our company picnics when we had hundred of people. We have family events four times a year. And among other things we smoke meat. This was at our most recent company party, we did 200 pounds of ribs and 300 chicken thighs. Your company's culture should look like you. It's part of who we are. If you're a sailor, take your team out on a boat. If you love skiing, take them skiing. Include who you are in the company you build.

I switched from (1) to (2) yesterday after YEARS (decades, probably) being on x1440. So many confused feelings: - wow so much screen real state - AND my eyes can handle it - at least I think they can? - can they? - yeah... wow, I feel young! - but, ... can they?

@lucperkins @grhmc +1, I mostly use devShells in projects with direnv, but my profile has a bunch of stuff like fzf, ripgrep, fd, and more.

@rahul_nlu GitLab and BitBucket seem like the only two for enterprise stuff. There's also Codeberg, Sourcehut, Tangled, and self-hosted options.

GitHub has become unusable. Looking for real alternatives. Is GitLab the only viable option?

Pull requests disappeared on GitHub for many (all?) users. This is just the latest outage on a platform where reliability has been beyond unacceptable the last few months. A fair question: at what point would customers move? How much pain is too much? And where do they move?

I'm not a fan of code/deployment freezes, but honestly @GitHub needs to freeze everything immediately and get all hands on deck to fix reliability issues. Unacceptable that there's yet another outage while the mess from the previous one last week has barely settled.
