So much disingenuous guff being spewed about Rachel Reeves. If a male Chancellor cried in the Commons because he’d had a row with the Speaker, the media would be rightly merciless. If you can’t stand the heat, Rachel, get out of the political kitchen. Your job is too important.

@PeteHall23 Thank you for confirming, as there is an estimated fixture date and time, please keep an eye as this can change due to the complexness of the fault.

@virginmedia my broadband, TV and phone have been down all day. Website fix is in a week's time - says it's an intermittent problem but we're completely down. Called the helpline but can't get any further than it sending me a link to the status page. What am I supposed to do?

@virginmedia No change. My broadband is down and TV is unwatchable as it's constantly freezing and going off.

Please note that when handing in postal votes at a polling station you can only hand in up to five, other than your own, at the election. You will also need to complete a form either at a polling station or at the Elections Office in the Town Hall.

Whatever your political views, everyone should be able to have a reasonable expectation they can access a bank account. Especially given it is near enough impossible to exist without one in the modern world.

@nationalrailenq I waited over an hour for a bus meaning I missed my connection from Stockport. No representative from National Rail showed up, it was left to the police to manage the situation, I'm sure they've got better things to do on a Saturday night.

@RichardJMurphy I think it would take a bit more than that for this government to function.

If the Queen cannot fulfil her duties isn’t it time she retired? There’s no disrespect in that, but she has the duty to respect us by allowing the government to function.

I'm trying to make up a playlist for the various clowns trying to be the next PM. I need some help though. So far I have 'My Lovely Horse' (Father Ted Eurovision entry) for Nadhim Zahawi. Any ideas for the others?

This ECHR row also exposes a broader political problem. Labour: “We must respect the result of the Brexit vote”. Also Labour: “We must let European courts continue to overrule the UK government”.

@JLBKL @SkyNews OK, that's energy sorted (for 3 months anyway). But food and transport costs have also gone up. Also, you haven't taken tax into account, or that in work benefits are, I believe, reduced when income increases.

@SkyNews According to Sky News the average rise of energy bills in April was £693 p.a. That is £13 per week or £1.90 per day. If the minimum wage is £10 per hour (and if employers want more hours worked) then by working an extra 2 hours a week the cost of the increase would be covered.
