Remember Joe's pilot brew? Well, he's only gone and done it and it'll be on the bar soon. He made a milk stout and added ground ginger, cinnamon, allspice and cloves. He also ramped up biscuit malt in the grain bill to get a bready biscuity taste. You are going to love it.

We currently have 32* beers in stock at the brewery. Shop open 12-5 Sunday, if you happen to be passing, and now open permanently 9-5 Mondays and Tuesdays. *That's counting "normal" beers. 50-odd including Monsters & Dogs Of War.

I've just been thinking, do we need a trophy for the winner of brew club comp. When they win they keep it for 3 months until the next competition. Answer the poll to decide if we have a trophy or not.

There could be only one winner and it was the excellent beer made by @lukemrcarter Congratulations. As winner he gets to decide the next beer style for the competition. Thanks to Andrew from @TheMountingB @Padawanrob & @Beerstorkuk for donating prizes

The dust has settled after the stout competition at the brew club on Tuesday. The quality of entries were really very good so thank you to everyone who entered a beer. Thanks to @Beer4John for coming down and getting involved with the judging.

Must say the standard tonight at the @TheChivBrewClub stout/porter competition was incredibly high. Hoping for some additional entries to the @skbeerfestival homebrew competition.

Our stout beer competition is at the half way point and the quality of beer is very good. Roll on part 2

There will be no crying over spilt milk stout tonight as our home brew competition kicks off at the @thechivertontap Stouts a plenty from our home brewers with @Beer4John helping judge the entries.

Looking forward to help judge the homebrew competition at @TheChivBrewClub tonight. Might also get a couple more signed up for this year's @skbeerfestival competition, too.

The @TheChivBrewClub christmas night out is nearly upon us. If you haven't confirmed then let us know on here if you are coming. @PeteHopper7 needs final numbers asap

The brew club christmas do is at The Barinda in Cheadle Hulme at 8pm on December 10th. You need to bring your own beer on the night but you don't have to bring your own food. Dressing up as Father Christmas is optional
