It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. Your original post implied that Hodge didn’t go as far as to say Christianity should be the law of the land. How about this: “Courts cannot reverse facts. Protestant Christianity was, is, and must be the law of the land. Whatever Protestant Christianity forbids, the law of the land (within its sphere i.e. within the sphere in which civil authority may appropriately act) forbids.” Hodge, Systematic Theology 3:344.
Act 181 in Vermont is a disaster for rural landowners and their families. This impacts me directly; the acreage I bought as a generational hedge against insane housing prices would become extremely difficult to build upon, requiring the same review as a big developer.
