@SenPeterWelch Farmers get screwed by the middleman that brings their products to market. Dairy farmers get paid pennies on a gallon of milk that sells for $5. Fix that problem rather than handouts.

Farmers face more pressures than ever before. Higher production costs. More frequent and destructive weather. Closed markets and more expensive equipment because of the president’s reckless tariffs. House Republicans passed a Farm Bill that won’t lower costs for farmers, doesn't help them access the high-speed internet they need, and gives more support to large agribusiness while family farms get less. I won’t support it unless Republicans work with Democrats to give farmers the boost they deserve.
