RIP to an inspiration while I was growing up in difficult circumstances with the lure of drugs and a dysfunctional family but Norris preached self reliance through working out and self defense. He's going to be missed

LPX confirms something critical: AI infrastructure is no longer about raw compute it’s about coordination.
You now have 256 chips working as one system, exchanging data every token, every step, with deterministic timing. That’s a completely different problem than traditional GPU scaling.
In the past, the goal was simple: make one chip faster.
Now, the challenge is different: how do 200+ chips talk to each other without slowing everything down?
Because in modern AI, every answer is built step by step and those steps require constant communication between chips. If that communication is slow or inconsistent, the whole system feels slow.
So what $NVDA is doing here is building a system where:
1. Chips stay perfectly in sync
2. Data moves instantly between them
3. Responses feel fast and consistent in real time
And here’s the bigger picture:As these systems keep growing, the problem shifts from “how fast is the chip?” to “how fast can everything talk together?”
That’s why this matters it’s pushing the industry toward better ways of connecting chips… and eventually, toward using light instead of traditional electrical connections to keep up.
