Video from the landing site in Iran where US forces extracted their downed pilot Several aircraft were lost during the operation. The US claims they destroyed them themselves to prevent their capture The cost of the destroyed equipment is at least 300 million dollars

Well @s_m_marandi absolutely perfectly sums up the situation expertly in response to Trump’s demented reckless Easter Sunday post Things are tremendously dangerous because @realDonaldTrump is completely out of control and willing to do anything to usher in the third temple and his Messiah (the anti christ) and cover up his Epstein files “This is a psychopath. And you can only imagine what they have on him—what kind of leverage or dirt they hold. But Iran is not going to back down. When those 10 days are over, if he begins to annihilate Iran’s key infrastructure, then everything in the Persian Gulf region will be annihilated. That will be the end of Kuwait. That will be the end of Qatar. It will be the end of Saudi Arabia. It will be the end of Bahrain. And it will be the end of the United Arab Emirates. It will be over. Everyone will have to leave immediately and cross the desert. And by the way, we are in spring—the heat will rise quickly. The weather will become extremely hot. You’ve lived in that region—you understand how it is. In the Persian Gulf, everything depends on electricity. Without electricity, those regimes collapse immediately. And with that, everything tied to the U.S. presence in West Asia collapses overnight. Of course, the Iraqis will act, and Yemen will act. So if they go for all-out war, the Iranians will respond with all-out war, along with the Axis of Resistance. And who will be the biggest losers? Zionism. Trump. Netanyahu. Because the world will see who destroyed their world. Even in India, those who foolishly supported Netanyahu and Zionism—despite being viewed as inferior by them—will come to realize that it was Netanyahu and the Zionists who destroyed their lives. The world will see everything for what it is. So when the 10 days are over, he can do what he wants. But Iran will finish the job. We are determined to end this war—this aggression that has been directed against our country since 1953—once and for all. I think the key point, when discussing the Strait of Hormuz, is: what role would the United States actually play? They are not prepared to fight Iran directly in the Strait of Hormuz. Instead, they have been trying to encourage or pressure Europeans to take on that role. As we speak, European countries are in contact. They are trying to engage diplomatically with Iran. For example, just before this broadcast, Austria’s foreign minister said she had been speaking with Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, about facilitating tanker passage through the Strait of Hormuz. This is the reality: anyone seeking a solution must speak with Iran. No one else controls the Strait of Hormuz. That is exactly the point—the so-called “mafia don” is no longer in charge. They must deal with Iran. You saw this shift at the UN Security Council—France changed its position. They understand where the real power lies. Even if they joined the United States in the Strait of Hormuz, they would not change the outcome. They would only make things worse for themselves and for the world. The Strait of Hormuz is under Iran’s control, and going forward, it will remain under Iran’s control—potentially in coordination with Oman, if they choose to cooperate. But Iran will control the Strait of Hormuz. That is the reality now, whether the Americans or Europeans accept it or not. And the Europeans are beginning to recognize this. Trump, meanwhile, behaves like a five-year-old child—a psychopath throwing constant temper tantrums because things are not going his way. He’ll break his toys, your toys, everyone’s toys. And this is the person leading the United States. The political class around him is not much different—he is just more crude. The fact that European ships are now passing through safely reflects this shift. France changed its position. If Europeans want access to the Persian Gulf, they will have to change their mindset and their policies.”

Since the start of the current war in West Asia the Australian government has consistently asserted Australia’s non-involvement in the US-Israeli aggression on Iran while at the same time making no secret of its antipathy towards the government of Iran and its support of the US launching the attack. On 28 February PM Albanese issued a joint statement with Foreign Minister Wong and Defence Minister Marles saying “We support the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent Iran continuing to threaten international peace and security.” PM Albanese again told Sarah Ferguson on ABC's 7:30 early in March that “What we are supportive of is the US making a decision about stopping Iran getting nuclear weapons, and also about stopping the role that Iran has played in undermining peace and security in the region. … This is a regime and a leader in the Iranian community who will not be mourned because his record is one of inciting violence and instability at a time where what we need in the world is more peace and security.” By that statement Albanese publicly confirmed Australia’s support for the pre-emptive war of aggression launched by the US and Israel contrary to the UN Charter. Australia was one of the first countries to openly support the attack and, unlike many of its allies, expressed no reservations about its illegality under international law. On 6 March 2026 PM Albanese confirmed that 3 Australian ADF members were embedded on a US submarine that sank the Iranian Navy vessel ‘Dena’ near Sri Lanka. This was consistent with the evidence of Vice Admiral Hammond before a Defence Senate Estimates Committee on 27 October 2025 that “there are more than 50 Australians serving on US fast-attack submarines based out of Al. We won't go into precise numbers, but, suffice to say, that number is growing. There are more than 100 or so training in the United States.” Incredibly, PM Albanese asserted that the 3 Australian submariners did not participate in any “offensive action” against Iran. On 10 March 2026 the Australian Government at the request of the UAE ordered the deployment of a Boeing E-7 Wedgetail aircraft and stocks of air to air missiles, along with 85 ADF personnel, to the UAE to defend the gulf States and Australian military bases. The ADF has used its ‘Camp David’ facility at the UAE’s Al Minad Air Base since 1983; it had previously been used to support Australia’s participation in the military interventions against Iraq and Afghanistan, and from 2008 was the Regional Headquarters of the ADF's Joint Task Force 633 and Australia’s main transport and logistics hub supporting Australian operations in the Middle East. Notwithstanding this history and the fact that the aircraft would be invaluable to the US and Israel in providing surveillance and battlescape information -particularly given the extent of the destruction of US surveillance and battlescape facilities in the early stages of the war - the Australian government insisted it was supplying those military resources in a purely defensive capacity. Unsurprisingly Iran refused to recognise Australia’s artificial distinction between offensive and defensive participation. As is so often the case, the war initiated by the US and Israel also re-opened the perennial question of the role played by the Pine Gap Joint Defence Facility in strikes on Iran and Lebanon, and as usual the Australian government refused to provide any information about that. On 3 April 2026 FM Penny Wong issued a statement concerning the 40-country meeting about reopening the Strait of Hormuz to which she gratuitously added the assertion that “Australia is not taking offensive action against Iran and we are not deploying troops on the ground in Iran.” On 3 April 2026 7 News reported leaked information that the Special Air Service Regiment had been deployed to the region in case the war escalates. Finally, when Trump gave the order to start ‘Operation Epic Fury’ it became the responsibility of commanders at U.S. Central Command, based at MacDill Air Force Base, to coordinate the attacks. Given the extent of the integration of Australian military personnel with the US military colossus and the Australian government’s contrived concept of purely defensive involvement In the war on Iran coupled with the evasive descriptions of the involvement of Australian personnel it seemed desirable to issue a request under the Freedom of Information Act to ascertain the extent of the involvement of Australian military personnel in the US Central Command base in Florida. Two separate requests produced identical responses. FOI requests to determine whether ADF personnel are either ‘serving or embedded in one capacity or another’ at US Central Command MacDill Air Force Base Tampa Florida is neither affirmed or denied. #auspol #FOI #illegalwar #endAUKUS #dangerousallies #everywarisawaronchildren

In his speech to the National Press Club, @albomp said it'd cost $20B to build 90 days of fuel storage and it would not be cost effective. How about we don't squander $380B on obsolete subs and instead use the money to fund fuel storage we need? #auspol26 #AUKUS will #FAUKUS
