We’re not poor. We’re just not investing wisely.
Our health system must be built by us, for us.
Let’s stop waiting and start acting.

In 🇸🇸 South Sudan, leaders have talked about domestic health financing.
🗣️ From Ministers to the Vice President—there's been commitment.
But words aren’t enough—we need policy, laws & ACTION.

Through my exposure with the International Program in Public Health Leadership (IPPHL) at @EvansUW, I’ve seen how 🇷🇼 🇰🇪 🇬🇭 🇪🇹 🇳🇬 🇿🇲 🇧🇼 are funding health with their own resources—through taxes, levies, & insurance schemes.

🇸🇸 South Sudan must stop depending entirely on donors to fund its health system. The future lies in domestic resource mobilization—financing our health from within. Here's how other African countries are doing it and what South Sudan must do.👇

@DeputySecState Historically, USA played a Significant role in gaining our independence, efforts that we all know, its unfortunate unfolding that we have to bear the burden of our government actions or diplomatic enigma between Washington and Juba..

@DeputySecState @DeputySecState Thank You for further clarification and given the narrative why do we have to pay the price as citizens over the disagreement of the two governments? Targeted visa revocation could have been the best option.
English

Let there be no mistake: the Administration of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump is committed to robust enforcement of our Nation’s immigration laws, and expects all other countries to accept repatriation of their own nationals. The Government of South Sudan has violated this obligation by refusing to accept one of their nationals certified by their own Embassy in Washington and repatriated to their country. Our efforts to engage diplomatically with the South Sudanese Government have been rebuffed. Accordingly, the @StateDept under @SecRubio has suspended ALL visas from South Sudan. Effective immediately, all visa appointments are cancelled, no new visas will be issued, no existing visas will be effective, and hence NO ONE from South Sudan will be entering the United States on a visa until this matter is resolved.

I had an interview with @Akisawandera of BBC on the decision of US Department of State to revoke all the Visa held by South Sudanese. This directly affects my planned Visit to the state and felt on me as unfortunate unfolding.
