I think the Trump administration could gain back a LOT of voters with just a few arrests. Maybe one or two to be specific. People just want to see someone, anyone, held accountable for the unbelievable deception of the last decade. Ilhan Omar looks like low-hanging fruit.

Actually, AI/Robotics will mean everyone can have a penthouse if they want. The output of goods & services will be several orders of magnitude higher than today’s economy. Read the Iain Banks Culture books for the best imagining of how it will be. That said, what is the future you want? Amazing abundance seems the best to me.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

My entire life politicians on both sides of the aisle have sworn up and down, on television and before Congress, that Iran was pursuing a nuclear weapon. Everyone agreed. The only disagreement lay in how best to handle it; by carrot or stick? Well we’ve been giving them carrots since Cheers was on, and by all accounts it’s only made them more brazen. So finally, after decades of failure, Trump comes along and tries a new approach, one that seems to have worked, and half the right is shitting on him? Beyond bullshit, especially considering that we all voted for him BECAUSE HE PLEDGED TO DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY! And yes I understand the “no new wars” thing, but maybe, just maybe, he learned something he didn’t know in the 4 years he was out of office. And maybe, just maybe, he isn’t Dick Cheney and has no plans to occupy the country for a decade or more. I guess time will tell, because this isn’t over, but this moaning from his one-time supporters seems manufactured. Because any adult knows that no politician will deliver on everything you want, but if the biggest promise they break is ridding the world of its largest terrorist state then count your fucking blessings.
