Europa scheitert nicht daran, dass „nichts möglich wäre“. Europa scheitert daran, dass es das politisch Mögliche nicht tut. Wir könnten die Ukraine so ausstatten, dass Russland keine Chance hat. Wir könnten die europäische Verteidigung endlich ernst nehmen. Wir könnten Lieferketten, Produktion und Abschreckung bündeln. Wir tun es nur nicht konsequent. Nicht, weil wir es nicht können — sondern weil es unbequem ist. Und genau das ist die eigentliche Ungerechtigkeit dieses Krieges.

Russia’s war is not just against Ukraine’s territory – it is against the very right of Ukrainians to exist. The U.S., European and other partners have the strength to make Russia stop. Strong, coordinated actions grounded in justice, sovereignty, and Ukraine’s territorial integrity will bring a just and lasting peace.

The Trump/Putin summit served Putin in many ways, but primarily to con Trump into not adding sanctions AGAIN while Russia continues murdering Ukrainians.

Der Diktator im Kreml hat Krieg begonnen, weil er Krieg will. Frieden wird er erst wollen, wenn er sieht, dass er den Krieg verliert. Das ist nicht neu, aber #Alaska hat es noch einmal deutlich gemacht.

Alaska: Putin hat seinen roten Teppich mit Trump bekommen, Trump dagegennichts. Wie zu befürchten war: Kein Waffenstillstand, kein Frieden. Kein wirklicher Fortschritt - ganz klar 1:0 für Putin - keine neuen Sanktionen. Für die Ukrainer: nichts. Für Europa: tiefst enttäuschend.
