"Special Ed" Gallrein came out of hiding for a rare interview on Monday night and made a fool of himself. He struggled to speak, couldn't answer a single question directly and rambled worse than Joe Biden. Kentucky may go from having the smartest man in Congress to the dumbest.

She took hard votes on the Epstein files before she even announced she was quitting, which she claims she only did because Trump and others were making death threats against her children. I can totally understand why she might do that.

Before my generation even cared about Donald Trump politically, we were watching Thomas Massie and Ron Paul clips on YouTube, like this one from 2015, where Thomas Massie voted to force a debate on Obama sending troops to Iraq and Syria The reality is that they hate Massie because he has a longer track record of being more consistent and more America First than they are This also explains the generational divide on Massie, because younger generations have been able to track these votes with new media while everyone else was waiting to hear what Sean Hannity had to say about him

I would just say that we shouldn't extrapolate a result among a MAGA electorate to a presidential election. Especially since campaign money has diminishing returns when you're as well-known as Trump is.

Massie received 45% of the vote, and he won amongst younger generations. Gallrein was carried heavily by boomers, who are dwindling in numbers every day. The GOP is largely failing to win over young voters, who today are more disillusioned than partisan, and ripe for harvest by any kind of “dissident” candidate, no matter how weak.

It's so tiresome watching even the minority of politicians with principles being punished for doing the bare minimum. At least we have people like Platner to look forward to.

I do think Zohran is doing a good job of proving that it doesn’t have to be baseless promises and policies can be implemented to improve things. But we all saw how both sides fought him every step of the way. We need more politicians that are for the people

Our ruling class has really mastered the art of keeping us complacent. I wish a third party could be viable, but the polarization we would have to undo would take generations.

@PeterPancaked @Anarseldain Quit with the cope. Plenty of candidates have been massively outspent and pulled through. Gallrein was a weak candidate, and Massie got beat by almost double digits because he ran a horrible campaign.

I feel much more optimistic about them, they are my parents age and they seem to at least be able to see other situations and understand that it is hard to be an average American right now. Gen Z is much more radical to both sides tho
