@PeterRahal Squash it with some metabolic chamber studies
otherwise it's just word salad

No one is getting Regina Georged.
The confusion comes from how calories are being measured. When food is burned in a device called a bomb calorimeter, it measures the heat released.
But nutrition labels aren’t based on how much heat something produces when burned. They’re based on what the human body can actually absorb and use for energy.
That distinction matters for ingredients found in David, such as fiber, sweeteners, and fat substitutes like EPG. Burning them in a bomb calorimeter treats them as fully digestible calories, even though they are not.
That’s why the FDA requires different calculation methods for these ingredients when determining calories.
David is 150 calories.

@ecommcowboy Thank you, however the since is pretty clear and simple

@Saksham_Agrawal @PeterRahal exactly why I never tried them,,,, scary stuff. who knows what EPG does to the body its completely new. And it contains unnatural sweeteners as well. Peters RX bar is way better

David Protein’s low-calorie, zero-sugar bar lauded as “too good to be true” by wellness influencers and beloved by “finance bros” on Wall Street might not be as healthy as they thought bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

People have no idea what they are talking about yet are attacking David Bar.
I could use this as a way to disingenuously promote my bars, but that would be wrong.
Unfortunately, most people will not look into this frivolous, BS lawsuit and to even fight this will cost David a lot of money.
Speaking as someone who has gone through BS lawsuits and spent millions on them, this sucks.

David bar is telling the truth.
English

@jacob_posel They are accurate, you cannot use a bomb calorimeter to measure non-nutritive foods like fiber, allulose, or epg
English

@PeterRahal I just ordered five packs of the bars! Am I going to ruin my life like the Twitterati are saying?
FWIW loved the taste and don’t feel anything other than feeling full - did one bar a day for twenty days in a row

Calories on nutrition labels aren't from burning food in a lab (bomb calorimeter—that measures total heat energy, including indigestible stuff).
They're based on what your body actually absorbs & uses.
Fiber, certain sweeteners & fat substitutes (like EPG in David) pass through mostly unabsorbed—so FDA requires adjusted cal counts for them.
David's real human-digestible total: 150 cal. No trick, just science.

Sweetgreen has entered the protein wars.

@parismartineau davidprotein.com/pages/third-pa… Not sure why David was included in this meme, we weren’t part of your original testing, and our bars are third-party tested to confirm undetectable levels of lead.

Surprised there isn’t a statement from @EquipFoods considering Consumer Reports latest article on lead in protein powder and being listed as products to only have occasionally:
