@PhilRodgers Very sad news. I always enjoyed discussing Cambridge planning issues with him and I contributed to his lively U3A course a few years ago. He made a huge contribution to planning in Cambridge and always spoke with good sense at Planning Committees. A great man.

Very sorry indeed to hear the news that former city councillor and Cambridge Mayor John Hipkin has died. A tenacious and outspoken defender of the city that he loved, charming in person, and a fixture on the Cambridge political scene for decades.

A Government that listens to local partners & wants to work collaboratively to secure mutual benefits. Now there's something we haven't seen for a while!
