After 007 hours of play in 007: First Light, I can say without hesitation that this is the best Bond game ever made. ✅ Storytelling & Pacing ✅ Character Development ✅ Level Design ✅ Choice and Approach ✅ Charm ✅ Cinematic Lighting, & Transitions ✅ Mocap & Lip Synching ❌ Load Times ❌ Some light performance issues This game has completely sucked me into its world. Fantastic job so far @IOInteractive @007GameIOI

@eternalrll This might all happen (and some will happen almost guaranteed eventually), although I see at least one point that's likely wrong. Either way, it's a long way to get there and seeing people who don't understand a single wrd from your post go crazy cheering for engine port is rdcls

What UE6 means for rocket league: - Faster load times - Faster queue times - Better FPS (max & stability) - Lower input delay - Improved servers - Lower ping - Better optimisation - Better graphics - Better Anti cheat capabilities - Easier & faster bug fixes for developers - Less ghost touches - Less demo inconsistencies - Better item capabilities - Better replay system - More cinematics - Better API support - Better AFK detection - Training pack overhaul - More settings customisation - More in game statistics - More mutator options - CREATIVE MODE/WORKSHOP MAPS FOR EVERYONE LIKE FORTNITE (Not all are confirmed, but unreal engine 6 ALLOWS all these AND MORE to become possible)

@Gababy67 Maybe they meant to say past RL announcements were all even weaker than this. But yeah this is good news, justifies a nod and a "looking forward to this", not so much jumping around and yelling, but that might have been the atmosphere taking over.

Might have been the most underwhelming hype video for what is supposed to be the biggest announcement in RL history

@Luca66457231 I'm not worrying. The hype, or should I say the intensity of the hype, is totally unwarranted at this point tbough.

Everyone who's a game dev and plays Rocket league knows that UE6 is not the problem and it is the devs that make the game run bad due to time pressure and other factors. Rocket league is psyonix aka epic games and Tim Sweeney knows he has to make the debut of UE6 good so dw

@Yt1Victor @JamaicanCocoRL Well RL should not suffer most of UE5 issues due to the nature of the game, plus they are owned by Epic so you can expect first class tech support. Still gonna be interesting to see what kind of issues get introduced at first. Be impressive if we don't see any.

@PetrCobra @JamaicanCocoRL I'm excited to see if they actually learned from UE5 and made it actually well optimized, I'd imagine that's the case if they already nailed the graphics for UE5, it only makes sense, all that needs improving is performance and stability.

@PixelOperative @amustycow Yeah dude I'm not on the dev team, no specifics to get from me. Cutting tech debt is always good tho. Makes iteration quicker, qa easier (tho def look out for new bugs early) and features more likely to be added. Doesn't justify streamer hype, they just cluelessly cheer imo

@PetrCobra @amustycow But what's going to get better? You didn't articulate any specifics just like this announcement. How is UE6 going to make the game better beyond just looking better?

Unreal Engine 5 would have been a better announcement, because it’s something achievable to do RIGHT NOW. The community was hyped for an update to change the game RIGHT NOW, not in 4 years. What was all that hype for then?

@BasiliskRl Yeah it's really just letting players know game's getting support long term. Non technical streamers see number go up plus some vague promises, plus they're used to shouting and making faces for content, take all that with a big grain of salt.

Am I the only one who doesn't know what UE6 means? Like, that's an awesome announcement but there weren't any details announced, other than a trailer with better graphics.......what does this ACTUALLY mean for RL??? Wish we got more details in the announcement

@PixelOperative @amustycow It matters to everyone but has quite long term positives while the road there could be quite rough. If yoi don't care about stuff getting worse temporarily in order to get a lot better later, yoi might be mildly excited. Def not as excited as these guys but they don't know better

@amustycow Explain why normal players should care about this because the announcement certainly did not. Is this something that only matters to RLCS sweats and those that love to watch them?

@ApparentlyJxck Yay, I predict loads of new bugs, less features, months to fix all that. Like anything else ever that switched engines. Nice to get rid of technical debt though.

PATCH NOTES LEARNINGS #6: This change is MASSIVE: "The Corruption outcome that randomises the numeric values on an item beyond the normal range now multiplies based on the current value, instead of randoming the value." To get the best corruptions, you now have to risk the best items, but it takes less tries (even with the omen of corruption being removed). This has a lot of branching consequences. You need les scraps, catalysts etc, but the value of bad rolls plumets even further. What do you think?

Finally rolled credits on the Diablo 4 expansion. Some quick thoughts as a Path of Exile 2 player: - Good story, enjoyed it a bunch - Much better boss fights than core + VOH, Mephisto and Inarius were faves - Paladin skills are cool, I like the leap - Combat still does not hook me, feels janky - Not a fan of the open world - I miss pause + saving where I am like in PoE 2, I had to redo a bunch of quests due to my lovely family ;) - Wardrobe system is peak, GGG please take notes from Blizzard - Environments are fascinating but you kinda zoom through them on your horse - I see why D4 has campaign skip, I cannot see really wanting to play that campaign again even though I liked the story, too many unskippable dialogue/travel sequences Now, onward to the endgame and War Plans...100% blind. This should be interesting.

@Tulk0r @Grimmbow_ @TalkativeTri Nah, I play on PS5 (Pro but that should not change the comparison) and the distinction is largely in art direction. I like PoE2 better but the quality is comparable. Since they got rid of some of the more prominent bugs it even feels on par quality wise overall which is wild.

@Marcodmeatball @fusorf_ XcX came out next, might be worth considering to play them in order of release. Not because of story reasons, X is the most loosely connected one. But the fighting system evolved in time so might be easier to get into it each time.

Xenoblade Chronicles update: I can't believe I finally beat it after picking it up and putting it down close to 10 times over the years or half committing. I haven't felt so good about playing an RPG since I was a boy playing final fantasy for the first time. I didn't play it optimally, I did zero side quests, just went from point A to point B and had a marvelous time. Loved every single twist and turn the game provided. Terrific ending. I appreciate that I could have immersed myself more but was allowed to go at my pace that worked for me. I ended around 40 hours. I'm quite pleased. I recall last year's discussion about how expedition 33 was the "adult" game people were craving since final fantasy X or whatever and I have to just say that anyone who felt that way should simply play Xenoblade chronicles. As far as I'm concerned it is a triumph in every way. Look forward to a thoughts video and music discussion. I also intend to do a full OST listen and talk about it in detail with you all. 🥰 I'm so happy 🎉

@ApparentlyJxck There really has to be something hidden in plain sight that's holding the team back, you all looked confused and distracted like it was the first day playing together. Maybe your new coach can identify the issues and help you eliminate them.

Sorry to Geekay and the fans for this split, disastrous performances over and over again. Not much to say but I take complete responsibility for it all, felt so good in game especially these past 2 weeks but just never on the Friday of the regional, sorry to my teammates for that. I wish we could’ve shown the true potential of this team but we just did not play even close to well enough when we needed to, very disappointing. It’s on us, the players of the team and nobody else. Sorry to Joyo and TempoH that this split didn’t go the way we envisioned whatsoever, but I am grateful that they still showed up every day fighting for it to get better. We all genuinely tried very hard every single day, my hours haven’t been this high in a long time which makes it all the more confusing. The mistakes in the tournaments were not the same as scrims, to be honest I don’t fully understand. We were fighting an invisible opponent the entire split of mistakes that we couldn’t identify because they were not happening day in day out. Our level was good, just never when we needed it to be. We’ll see if we can play the LCQ together. I hope we can because, despite everything, I still believe in this team. Good luck to all the EU teams in Paris. I’ll be going to view party and enjoy the LAN, I hope to see some of you guys there ❤️🙏 @geekay_esports
