What I enjoy about Red Bull is that it’s completely output driven. The drink tastes like shit. The can is small. The price is high. And none of it matters. They literally failed their first consumer taste test and launched anyway because Mateschitz said fuck it, Red Bull isn’t meant to be enjoyed, it’s meant to be used. Everything about it from the dosage and the taste and price point signals that it’s a drug more than a drink.
