@Fightful Sorry but what has he done of substance in NXT other than become an afterthought in the title picture? I understand he’s gonna say higher based on where he is but man it’s not even close and comparing them right now is unfair. Maybe in 4 years they can be compared fairly

Ricky Saints was asked to grade his run in AEW compared to his run in NXT. “That’s hard. I loved my run at AEW for all (television) stuff. You can say what you want about the other stuff. If you look at it in totality, I did enjoy it, I just wanted more out of it. I think I would give it a B. I have to remove certain personal things of accomplishments that I wanted that I didn’t necessarily get. I have to remove that. I have to look at what the actual work was. What was actually done. When compared to NXT, I would give my NXT run a B+. We’re edging out an A." (@ringerwrestling)

@RobViper I think New Japan World and the outlay for English commentary they do is why other companies would offer this option. I understand where you are coming from having spent a large majority of my life watching wrestling in another language but a lot of English fans will want this.

I wouldn't call this the smart play. The $19.99 version is for those who can't watch any wrestling in a different language other than English. You get one show. $35 gets you *at minimum* 15 shows including Noche de Campeones which is usually the best in-ring show of the year.

I'm really happy to see CMLL make a big investment in establishing English commentary for their upcoming PPV! 🤠 This is something I got to help motivate back in 2024. I even did commentary on a few CMLL matches that remain unaired (Blue Panther vs. Bryan Danielson, Team AEW vs. Team CMLL, etc.) I hope for Anniversario's success and further international expansion for CMLL throughout 2025!

Ricochet reflects on his first year in AEW, says the plan was always to shift his character but not in the organic way that it happened: “It's been awesome. It's been so much fun, and it kind of went exactly like I foresaw it going even before I made any decisions or anything when I got here. I actually signed in July, but I didn't debut until August, so we were there for a little bit. And I was always saying, like, the goal isn't come in, be champion immediately and dominate. It was, come in, have some good matches, show people that Ricochet can still have good matches. Then shift character-wise. I was always supposed to turn heel. We had other plans with another group. I don't want to give too much away, but we had other plans before I even debuted. We had a trajectory where I was going to go, but then what happened—it was so good the way it was going, that we stuck with Ricoche just being like a solo thing because it was just going so good. But the plan was always to shift character and always turn, but things just kind of worked out the way they did. And some things you can plan, and some things you kind of got to run with, and it was just one of those things, it just happened. Everything just happened to fall in line, and things just happened to be going so good, and I think Ricochet has made those moments. October will be 22 years. We got two decades of Ricochet moments, but they're mostly physical moments. Now, Ricochet can tap into the other side and get whatever type of emotional moment out of you, whether it's funny, whether it's angry, whatever it is.
