What's going on guys, Just did my first 100k month last month doing only OA, only up from here, been scaling every month. Focusing on these 3 things for 2025. 1. Get 100% Hands off with OA, train VAs to fully manage it. 2. Start reaching out to more wholesale/distributors. 3. Get my foot into Amazon Japan, because it is getting very popular over there right now and will give me a reason to b able to keep traveling over there. Please dm with questions, if you are a newer seller, I have been in your shoes before, where bigger sellers wont answer your dms. If you have larger wholesale accounts that are impossible or very hard to get, please reach out, I want to sell in Amazon Japan and buy through you, so we can both win. If you are selling in Amazon Japan, please reach out, would love to connect, international amazon marketplaces are a whole different creature and I have already made big mistakes that if I would have had someone to speak to, would not have made. @flips4miles @coreyganim

Getting on a call tomorrow with someone from 1000asins team, to learn about the program and coaching course they have. I honestly firstly reached out to Dan Boufford at first and was just asking, how much would it cost for an hour of his own personal time. But, he was not giving up any of his time to me. But then I learned that he does do weekly calls and you can ask him anything, not 1 on 1, but I should be able to accomplish what I am looking for. My goal is basically to learn what bigger sellers on amazon are doing differently than me. Their systems, software's , strategies, and even small tips that they are doing that I am not. Super excited about this, definitely much to learn and I will be reaching out to a couple of larger sellers as well.

I think content, for example one of the new AI speech to text I actually started paying for is superwhisper, and I only started using it because I saw other people posting examples about it and content around it. I think make a good product and then have a ton of content created around it.

@PhilOlwig Thanks for sharing. I'm building an AI voice agent startup called Praveg, and one thing I'm struggling with is figuring out the best way to reach business owners. Since you've built businesses from scratch, what's one thing you'd focus on if you were in my position?

Today, I did a pretty big deal around 80k where I was basically the middle man on a high volume order between two people. Received product today and will be going out Monday, profited around $2,200, absolutely love these large volume easy transactions, B2B Distribution is awesome.

Listened to a podcase today with Cody Sanchez and Mohnish Pabrai. I didn't know Mohnish Pabrai, but his main thing is how he clones/copies. He literally dumbs it down to, just copy what is working! Clone/Copy the best businesses. They are doing something right and why would you try something brand new and have such a low success rate, something you dont know will work, and something you have never done. It gets you thinking.... It is true though, and I really love the way he puts it, I do feel like a lot of people will feel ashamed or embarrassed for copying/cloning others, but in terms of business, I absolutely love it. They already found out what works, so copy them! You will not be the same, because the founder would be different everytime.

Do you mean like literally tasks I do or what I do during the day in general? For tasks, I am mainly doing higher level tasks or researching/implementing ways to grow the business or make something more efficient. Overall, I am at my computer desk all day and then during the day every now and then I will take a break and walk around the warehouse or take a short drive.

@PhilOlwig Hey Phil, appreciate you taking the time to reply earlier. I was curious—how do you actually run your day as a founder? There's a lot of advice online, but I'm more interested in what you actually do.

Winke | E-commerce Founder
Five years ago, I started an Amazon business from zero. Today: • About $10M in annual sales • A team that grew from 0 to 10 • Averaged roughly 80% annual growth This account is where I share the real work behind it: product decisions, margins, inventory, suppliers, AI workflows and small-team management. No guru advice. Just what works, what fails and what I learn along the way.

Getting down and dirty with cold outreach for my other business. Takes me back when you just have to increase your output at the beginning. Trying to find more business customers, best way is just going to be calling and reaching out to as many business owners as I can, even if I am not good at calling or sales. Just have to start and get through it.

@buildwithbani Well I think that it is always good to talk to other founders, but I dont know about saying more than reading ever could, because it is hard to get information or learn from the top dogs in the industry because they wont waste time on you, but you can read books on them.

@PhilOlwig That's a great way to put it. As I'm building, I've realized the conversations with experienced founders have taught me far more than hours of reading ever could.

@CookingCashflow What's up Ryan, appreciate you commenting, he is basically a broker in the Senior Living/Health industry. Just had to sit back and realize that this guy somehow has so much leverage that he can make 60k in 1 day and do that multiple times a month.

Today, I spoke to an older guy that I see as a mentor. He was in a better mood than usual but not crazy happy, and I asked why. He said he just closed a deal, I said, that's great! How much was it for? He says, I can't tell you the full amount, but I just got wired $60,000. I said, how long did it take you to get that deal done? He says less than 1 day. One of the few moments, where I really take a step back and think about what I just heard. He made $60,000 in 1 DAY. And thats not the crazy part, the crazy part is that, that happens multiple times a month. It really goes to show that there are levels to this game of business....

@buildwithbani You know, this made me think about the statement people say, "It's not what you know, it is who you know". I think information is very important of course, but I honestly do think that the people you know should be above the information you know.

@PhilOlwig This is a good reminder that business is ultimately a people game. Systems matter, but long-term reliability is what turns strangers into partners.

Focusing on growing my distribution business. I know one of the easiest and best ways to grow is to just sell more to your CURRENT customers, so started that a couple days ago and we are 100% bringing revenue up just by adding upsells and talking to customers more. Second thing I just started today, is just outreaching to every single one of th ebusinesses that match our customer type, with emails at first, and then with phone calls and its looking really good, of all the people that answered, they are interested. Will be making phone calls over the next couple of days, but goes back to say, dont wait, and just do. I don't want to make phone calls, but after the call, I am always like, that wasn't that bad...

Great question, love answering stuff like this, so with one guy I have been doing business with him for about 2 years and done over 1 million in transactions, so he will float me stuff all day. With the buyer, he is newer, probably met him at the start of this year, but we have done larger transactions before. So now, he will send me money before I even send it out. I think the main lever in trust within this deal was just the dollar amount that we have done before and been doing, slowly got larger and larger. Sometimes, I do think about getting scammed, but at the end of the day, you can only watch out for so much and do have to take risks.

@PhilOlwig Curious—how long did it take to build the relationships that made an $80k transaction possible? The deal is impressive, but I imagine the trust behind it took much longer.

Struggling with capital and cash flow is super tight. Leveraging all the credit I have available, waiting to get the best available credit lines, and also just bought a house, so I have been aggressively paying towards that so I can utilize a heloc against the house.
