@CDInewsletter Perhaps it was dunking (though not in a malicious way) I removed the post. I think Terravest is an exceptional company and has performed very well over time.

Lotta people on here talking about TerraVest, a growth-by-acquisition industrial stock that trades at 10x 2024 FCF. Nobody on here talking about Exchange Income Corp, a growth-by-acquisition industrial stock that trades at 8x 2024 FCF. That's all. $TVK.to $EIF.to

Added again to my core $SCR.TO / Strathcona position. A nice summary for how Waterous thinks & acts. Note the size/scale of the rail asset, price paid (bargain) & also TMX capacity & CBR ramp (incremental FCF) as CAD egress hits bottlenecks. Source/Credit/ht: @BridgingtonHol

$gfl is going to crush it with $ses.to. Here's video by Secure's CEO recorded around the time that the acquisition was announced. youtube.com/watch?v=Ej-mpn…

@edgaralandough John 6:67-69 So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

What's a scripture you hold on to but not a lot of people know about? Not Philippians 4:13. Not John 3:16. Give me the hidden gems, the ones you cherish in your heart but never see on shirts. Drop the verse below.

@midcapmikey It’s mind blowing to me. Like buyback some shares or something.

$MRC.TO: • ~0.26x BV • ~7x earnings • ~$18B+ asset base vs ~$1.3B mkt cap You’re buying a levered, complex RE platform at a massive NAV discount. The catch? Controlled structure, weak governance, no clear catalyst. Value trap or multi-bagger? Could go either way lol.

@Sportellosprea1 It’s crazy to me the current discount to NAV. They should do some buybacks or something!

$CGI.TO in the end, I'd argue the 75% Canada emphasis makes this tough versus just owning a US index + a few core Cdn names, meanwhile $ELF.TO gives lots of passive US exposure + an insurance co at reasonable value. Mostly I enjoyed stumbling into the world of GTA philanthropy

As someone who is fascinated by wealthy family history and investigative research, I was curious if anyone has any thoughts or stories regarding $CGI.TO. Being 🇨🇦, the company actually called CGI Inc. has ticker $GIB-A.TO (lol), since Canadian General Investments started in 1930

@AKWilk So the question is: is $GFL worth holding?

If this deal goes through as written, it's an incredibly disappointing outcome for $SES.TO shareholders. Our base case was C$34/share using conservative assumptions. Instead, shareholders are being asked to sell a scarce, high-quality waste infrastructure asset for C$24.75/share, mostly in GFL stock. The call this morning made it worse. All $GFL did was talk about the high quality waste asset with predictable cash flows, durable growth, best in class assets, significant reinvestment runway etc. They basically spent the entire call explaining why Secure is a great business with a long runway…while buying it for 11x this year's EBITDA.

“Why do you have so much cash allocation” - Critics in my comments in December of 2025 While I buy dips and START positions, you’re fully allocated and can’t buy anymore. Cash is always king.

@_lf29 @DivGrojourney I held it from around 2018 and eventually sold last year ( still hold a bit in my son’s RESP) - it just never performs. Always dragging along. The only hope is a buyout.

@TheWiseIC Logic. It’s illogical that the world is so perfectly designed yet happed by accident . how could that be random?

@Philbert771 Absolutely. And you don’t have to be religious or spiritual to understand that. The 2 often get confused. Some of the greatest scientists and physicians in history all appointed to the fact that the universe was designed by an intelligent force. Why would they say that?

Opinion (controversial one) : It’s more likely life isn’t random than it is. Think about the innate chance of you being here, alive. The universe is so complex. I don’t think it’s “luck” anyone is alive here, today, or ever. I think life has meaning.

@Morguard $MRC.TO George Armoyan with another $322,000 worth filed today for a total of $156 million worth not including the other Morguard entities. Will probably be worth $400 million or more if they take MRC private and start unloading assets to private market at some point.

Nice write up from @RealAssetsValue on $HOM.U / $HOM.UN below. It has given up all its gain from the sale earlier in the year to $AVB which was done at very good prices before recycling the capital into more assets which was bearish. I personally like the R/R opportunity here,
Real Assets Value@RealAssetsValue

BSR REIT / $HOM.U Q2 earnings: -rent spreads improving, blended positive in July -Austin dev. leasing up ahead of expectations -Acquired 2023 & 2025 vintage properties in Houston/Dallas At $12.75 trades at 6.3% implied cap rate, $170k/unit. ~25% disc. to my NAV est.

@CDInewsletter It was never my intention to save enough to pay for the entire education. My kids need to contribute by working. So many valuable lessons learned in a summer job. Plus kids need to learn to be careful with money. Work ethic is important.

What do y'all think about funding your kids' education to about 70% of the required level, then making them get a job to earn the rest? Seems like it would build character and create useful skills, while still leaving junior in good shape if the job never happens.
