A point of clarification, Professor. I am an acdemic from Pakistan for context. The clarification I'd request is that whether a prospective route from Pakistan was left out by the system creating the visual or was it not included in the direction given to system generating the graphic. The reason I ask is that there has been a lot of talk on whether or not Pakistan will be pressured to facilitate such a strategic mistake, and I want to know whether tactically, a potential route from Pakistan is not feasible or is it more due to the fact that Pakistani leadership is unlikely to accept taking part in this strategic mistake?

@RACERHQ Gaining clarity? There will be 33 drivers because the only thing IMS has is nostalgia. What wankers other than Abel will fill the field and park it 30 laps is with “handling issues”. I’ll be on the edge of my seat waiting

@ElevatorFart @ChrisMurphyCT It is my understanding that if the challenge is correct they can keep challenging. Yanks-Seattle 3/30…Caballero successfully challenged two calls in the same at bat, and the following inning the Yankees successfully challenged three more strike calls

I don't know, man. Maybe I'm too old fashioned, but I don't love the trend of machines and constant replay review taking the place of umpires and refs. To me, there's just a soullessness to machines enforcing the rules. I don't mind the umpire mistakes (especially on balls and strikes) - I'd just rather have humans in charge. Also, Gov, if you could nudge Gunnar Henderson to start hitting ASAP - he's a staple on my fantasy team.

I have to disagree with you on this one, Chris. Go O's!

@PrezWisdom @IkeLibrary Of note: Secret Knowledge: Eisenhower actually knew from secret U-2 spy plane intelligence that the Soviets did not have a significant missile advantage. The Dilemma: Eisenhower could not publicly reveal the "no gap" truth without exposing the secret U-2 spying programs.

DID YOU KNOW? During Dwight Eisenhower’s 🇺🇸 presidency his administration ran several ‘mock nuclear wars’ to see how the US would fare against global nuclear threats, casualties, etc. Eisenhower hated it but appreciated its usefulness NOW YOU KNOW! #POTUS 😱 📸: @IkeLibrary

Yes, Eisenhower’s New Look was based on the idea of nuclear containment. That is, the threat of a nuclear response they reasoned could be a vehicle to containing communist advances. It was a flawed policy and they ultimately came to the conclusion that a nuclear war was un-winnable, everyone would lose.

Linebacker I was successful from the stand-point of halting the Easter-Tide Offensive, it was an operation that prolonged the inevitable collapse of the South. Linebacker II basically got the North Vietnamese to sign the same agreement that would’ve been signed prior to the bombing, it was a completely unnecessary use of force that accomplished nothing.

@atrupar I think he means *Linebacker I & II.* Which may or may not have brought them to the table. Rolling Thunder was the opposite of decisive. It was the starting line for years of mixed messges and deeper involvement with uncertain results.

Rep. Rich McCormick: "We were horrible in Vietnam until we did Rolling Thunder One and Rolling Thunder Two, and then we won. As soon as we do half-measures, we lose. The faster we get this over the better. If we seize Kharg Island, it's technically boots on the ground. It could be done almost flawlessly. If we have enough firepower, it would be very easy to defend."

I thought it was a good race. I enjoyed the Rahal-Lundgaard battle at the end. If not for a pit issue there would have been an epic battle for the win too…barber is very demanding for drivers and I generally enjoy watching that. I wished Grosjean had finished better given the effort in qualifying.

I actually really get into the behind the scenes stuff too, Ted’s Notebook etc, in recent years I found myself following that stuff in F1 closely then tuning out on the race and then looking forward to IndyCar race. I appreciate both series, though the current F1 regs seem a bit odd from a racing standpoint.

@PhilipWTravis1 @TimCoronel @F1 I agree, for me I'm more interested on the tech behind the scenes stuff, factory tours, car assembly that type of content but honestly its because the driving has been boring for years, I would love to see the driver competition come back from those days.

They are slowly regulating F1 to death. The 2026 rules feel like a test phase, not the pinnacle of motorsport. Drivers saving energy instead of pushing, strategy over pure speed. If racing gets worse, we’ve solved the wrong problem. Are we still racing? #F1 #Formula1

A utopian vision of a capitalist world is only possible if regulations are applied. If a capitalist system does not have regulations you get monopolies and those monopolies then seize influence in government. Likewise, if you don’t ensure living wages for all jobs, then supply and demand will result in low paying jobs, extreme wealth inequality and poverty. Those are historic problems with free-market capitalism in the industrial age and thus far the most effective way to deal with that are regulations that focus on reducing poverty and uplifting higher wages for workers.

Those early 2000s F1 cars turning nearly 20k rpm were stunning watch. I remember at the US GP at Indy those engines sounded like they were going to explode. The tech in the cars today is like space age stuff and I know people that are really intrigued by that…I am more into driver/on track side of things…though I don’t think that means everything should be spec, there should be a balance.

@PhilipWTravis1 @TimCoronel @F1 I agree with you there, I would say last true pure racing was around the senna era and maybe a bit of the Schumacher era and then it got boring.

On this day, March 28, 1898. In a 6-2 ruling the US Supreme Court affirmed in US vs. Wong King Ark the principle of birthright citizenship grounded in the 14th Amendment. Accordingly, the US Constitution guarantees citizenship to anyone born in the United States to a permanent resident.

You are correct that the French Revolution resulted in the emergence of the broad concept of left and right. However, I don’t think Left should be equated with radical…that was a characterization applied after the fact largely by conservatives. Liberals favored republicanism, conservatives favored monarchy…there were radicals and moderates within both camps.

The political terms Left and Right originated in 1789 during the French Revolution. Supporters of radical change and the republic sat on the left side of the National Assembly. Supporters of the monarchy and tradition sat to the right.
