@SystematicPeter Do you trade us etfs on the intraday breakout? I also live in Europe, and us ETFs are off limits on IBKR for me.

I don’t trade one momentum strategy. I trade momentum as a portfolio across multiple timeframes. In this video I show my live IBKR platform and explain how I combine monthly rotation, swing breakouts and intraday momentum using systematic rules, diversification and automation.

#finanstwitter

@felipeguirao This resonates well with me as well. I tried the other approach with lower win rate but trying to hit big trades, but my personality hated it…

Low win-rate systems are the worst to trade. I know it's popular in stock trading to find tight entries during the day, which results in a 30% success rate, and it makes money on paper and for some good traders, but it comes with some ugly features most people will struggle with. Here is the thing. When you trade with a 25-35% win rate system by looking for super tight entries and getting stopped out often, you need a 1:10 RR trade sometimes to make back all the losses and profit. It's OK on paper, but in reality, that distribution will bring a lot of pain for you, regardless of what instrument you are trading. It's just system trading math. It's universal. You will have to accept: - Many losing trades in a row (10+ in a row is not uncommon) - Big drawdowns in your equity curve - Big TIME in drawdown (months are normal) Although it still works on paper, these things make very hard to stick to your system. It will test your psychology to the breaking point, and most new traders don't have the deep understanding of system distribution to make this happen. The solution? Focus on higher SR% systems. I have a 65% SR, with a 1:1,35 avg RR, which is plenty profitable, and I don't have to go through all those problems. I have: - 80%+ profitable months (no big time in drawdowns) - single digit % max drawdown (if risk 1% max per trade) - 4-5 losing trades at the most in a row It makes trading a lot easier on your psychology, and to make money and grow your account as well. How do I trade momentum breakouts in stocks to make this shift, and not look for super-tight entries and get whipsaw during the day? Easy, just enter your breakouts on an end-of-day basis. Trade based on the CLOSE of the daily candle. That's what I've been doing for years, and the difference is night and day. Try it out and see it for yourself.

You can make a killing in the stock market with a simple strategy. I swing trade stocks, and averaged triple-digit % returns for the past 6 years, all while trading 20 min/day. You can trade and make nice returns while having a life at the same time. Here is my strategy overview. 1) First, find a strong FIRST LEG of a new, fresh trend. This is important, because the more extended a trend is, the smaller the probability it will follow through with a breakout... 2) When this happens, I want to see the 8, 20, and 50 EMAs stacked up and trending, so you can instantly identify a strong trend. Also, I look for my CML indicator (custom momentum & linearity indicator) to flash GREEN, which gives me stocks with the right combination of LINEARITY and MOMENTUM, important ingredients to find an explosive move. 3) Next, I want to identify the FIRST VALID CONSOLIDATION against the 8/20 EMAs, where I see a pattern of higher lows, volatility contract, and a clear area of resistance to look for a breakout. It needs to have the right day count to be valid according to my rules. 4) Once everything is there, I wait for the breakout through the resistance line, and enter at the CLOSE of the trading day. I ALWAYS wait for the candle just before closing to enter the trade, being an end-of-day trade. This step is super important. I developed my system with all these rules and proved that it has an edge (you can check my track record on my site). 5) Then I simply enter the trade, place my stop below the LOD, and close the trade at the end of the 5th day. Those are my rules, battle-tested to make money in bull and bear markets (I also go short) I follow my process in the last 20 minutes of the trading day, and that's how I trade, make a killing in the markets, and enjoy having a life outside of trading. No need to be glued to the charts at the open or during the day. Another important thing is that I follow my rules to the T. I bring systems trading thinking to swing trading, and there is almost no discretion at all on my entries. Every single move in my trading is already pre-determined by my rules. No need to swing it. You can check out a more detailed video explanation of my setup and process in the pinned post on my profile. Enjoy!

Max 10 bolag i portföljen.

#LSTMarketSignals The holiday bounce continued during this half session with both leading and beaten down baskets bouncing back up on low volume. Typical holiday trading behavior which can create nice short term moves. Staying cautious and nimble for now and taking it one day at a time. Of note: LIDAR and DRONES were still leading the pack. CHINA is still setting up nicely so far.

This will mark my 8th year of Black Friday using Tradingview. Here are 8 FREE public scripts I highly recommend exploring to refine your workflow, templates, or layouts. They’re listed alphabetically by script name: 1. **ADR% - Average Daily Range %** - By @zerokapital tradingview.com/v/ss2QgCWi/ Use this to study the historical ADR% of securities and analyze how momentum stocks develop and build their volatility patterns. 2. **ATR% Multiple from 50-MA** - Credits to @DumbleDax tradingview.com/v/oimVgV7e/ My favorite tool for profit-taking or extension signals in setups. It’s also helpful for index analysis to gauge when to scale back on risk exposure. 3. **EPS & Sales** - By @DumbleDax tradingview.com/v/WiaFmLGR/ Arguably the best EPS & Sales script available. It integrates earnings, sales, beats, and guidance into your charts via table format or below price template, as seen in my trading ideas and stock update. 4. **Financials on Chart** - By @tradingview tradingview.com/v/Lbxl9OqZ/ A fantastic on-chart display of up to 9 fundamentals (Qtr/Yr) of your choice from over 100 options, including PEG, Earnings Yield, Price to Free Cash Flow Ratio, and ROIC%. This is great for your long-term investment overview without referencing to another 3rd party website for fundamental data. 5. **Industry Group Strength** - By @amphtrading tradingview.com/v/5NsvcOVp/ This indicator helps you pinpoint the best-performing stocks within specific industry groups. My default template lists the top 5 RS stocks from the same industry as the stock I’m analyzing. @amphtrading also offers 41+ free scripts, making him one of the most generous contributors to our TradingView community. 6. **Range Tightening Indicator** - By @Ollie_AllCaps tradingview.com/script/yaIeno7… A price-tightening indicator using a lookback period. It’s also useful for identifying the "rate of change" of potential bottoms or tops, as highlighted by Stanley Druckenmiller in his podcast with Nicolai Tangen. 7. **Simple Volume with Pocket Pivots** - By @finallynitin tradingview.com/v/JkB0iCFp/ The most versatile volume script, in my opinion, offering extensive customization for color coding, dollar volume, RVOL, and more. 8. **Swing Data** - Credits to @DumbleDax tradingview.com/v/uloAa2EI/ This table consolidates essential data for swing traders in a simple format, providing everything you need to improve trading execution & efficiency. If you found this post helpful and valuable, consider retweeting🔁to spread the words to support their efforts and encourage future updates and enhancements. I hope these scripts will prove beneficial on your trading journey.
